wheeeone 06-07-2002, 02:38 AM Hi,
I just wanted to remind anyone who would like to send anything to be placed at Freddie's crypt on his birthday to please send it by June 14th to allow enough time for it to be forwarded to me. The address to use was posted in an earlier post...Atlangel has been kind enough to allow her post office box to be used for this purpose.
I will send proof of placement with a picture to your e-mail so you know your remembrances were delivered. Love and light to all....
tylersmistress2002 06-07-2002, 08:45 AM I just put my cards in the mail last nite.... I say cards because there is one in there for you and one for Atlangel as well..... (just a little thank you for each of you). I created all of them from the computer.... Store bought cards are nice but I think these are much more personal.
Pitooey 06-07-2002, 10:34 PM Wheeone I was ready to post that i didn't send my card to Freddie yet and then I saw your post. My card will be sent out tomorrow (Saturday). I have been so busy with 3 graduations in this house plus a recital that I've been so busy. Thank God you extended the date.
Cheryl Harrell 06-07-2002, 10:48 PM I need to get mine out next week...
wheeeone 06-08-2002, 05:16 AM Glad the reminder helped.....I just wanted to make sure that anyone who would like to honor Freddie on his birthday doesn't miss out due to our everyday schedules....which I know can be overwhelming. Great day to all!
Pitooey 06-08-2002, 04:23 PM I sent my card to Freddie today. I wanted to send him some token but, I didn't know what else to send him. Thankyou Wheeone and Atlangel for everything.
kriziazafiro 06-09-2002, 07:09 PM Thanks for the reminder. God bless you. :)
Cheryl Harrell 06-12-2002, 03:49 PM I sent mine out yesterday. I hoe it gets there in time. I bought a thing of silk flowers in the dollar store (all I could afford) & attached to it a card which the card was on one side & a note on the other side. I had to print it in black & white & not color sadly cuz my printer had goofed up & I had to go to the library to print it. The library only prints in black & white. Oh well.
The note I wrote was this:
Happy Birthday to Freddie!
I used to watch you on CHICO & THE MAN & enjoyed the
show in the 70's but wasn't yet a fan. After they took
the show off the air I didn't hear of you anymore. The
in 2001, re-runs of the show came on TVLAND & I
watched them & soon got into you & am your fan now. I
now regret I hadn't gotten into you back in the 70's.
I am so sorry about what happened to you. It is so
sad... You were such a sweet & dear boy. May God
Bless you up in heaven & may you have a very happy
birthday up in heaven!
Love,
Your New Fan Cheryl Harrell
And Also her Husband Mike
& Here is the card:

wheeeone 06-22-2002, 11:23 PM Ok Ladies,
I tried unsuccessfully to access your e-mails through the board. Please PM me with your e-mail addresses so I can send the photos on to you! I will try to post one on the board, but you each have individualized photos focused on your gift/cards....Thank You.
Pitooey 06-22-2002, 11:43 PM Okay Wheeone........... You can email me. Just go to my email (located above)....
wheeeone 06-22-2002, 11:59 PM Thanks Jenny Lee...I just sent it off to you.
wheeeone 06-23-2002, 12:08 AM Could someone please help explain how to put a photo or image into my post here on the board????
wheeeone 06-23-2002, 02:41 AM Just testing...success in next post with photo attachment...
Cheryl Harrell 06-23-2002, 05:11 AM Look towards the bottom & you'll see a button that says browse. Click on it. Now comes up with the box to pick your pic from. Click on the menu in it get to wherever you have the pic stored. Like click on the lookin in thing & then on C. Then click on your folder you have the pics in or if they are on a floopy disk click on A instead of C up there there & then click on your file to upload. If you are coming in from C then click on your fold er you have the pic in. Like if they are in a folder called Chico Pictures then click on C & the click on the folder called Chico Pictures & then click on the one you want. Hope this helps! :) Good luck! :) Thanks for putting everyones rememberances & mine on the grave. :)
I think your problem in getting it to post may be that you're trying to put on here this file:
http://c:/MyPictures/62202fredbdpics.jpg
& it's coming up with 20% in the middle of it by mistake somehow so it's like this http://c:/My20%Pictures/62202fredbdpics.jpg instead of http://c:/MyPictures/62202fredbdpics.jpg.
Try uploading http://c:/MyPictures/62202fredbdpics.jpg & see if that works. Good luck! :)
wheeeone 06-23-2002, 10:06 AM Thank you Cheryl and Luckymama for your instructions.....I'm attempting to post some pictures of the gifts placed at Freddie's site yesterday on his birthday for everyone.....hopefully it works this time....
Pitooey 06-23-2002, 12:27 PM Everything looks so beautiful. From far away it looks like the sign of the cross. I wonder who sent the other flowers. Wheeone did you see?
hue_mee 06-23-2002, 12:51 PM Excellent tribute wheeone. I am touched by your kindness. Althogh I was unable to send you something in time of your visit . I appreciate your generousity of placing flowers and cards to Freddie to those who were able to send them on time. I know deep down Freddie appreciated them too.
Thank you!!!
Prince 06-23-2002, 08:55 PM Hi Wheeeone,
I too was unable to send anything with you, but my heart was there right beside you. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for Freddie and to everyone who sent something for you to take. I am so pleased that he is not being forgotten after all this time. Freddie fans are the best and most loyal. I was wondering if you happen to spot any flowers or cards from any of Freddie's family??? Also, thanks so much for posting the pictures, I was so anxious to see them. Freddie is smiling down I'm sure.
kriziazafiro 06-23-2002, 10:01 PM Thank you so much for taking the time to visit Freddie . God bless you. :typing:
Thank You Wheee One, that really means a lot to me that you went out of your way,to put our cards and things at Freddies crypt.
Cheryl Harrell 06-24-2002, 04:16 AM Thank you once again for putting up all our tributes on the grave. Freddie is smiling down now & happy knowing that he wasn't forgotton. :)
wheeeone 06-25-2002, 04:17 AM Thank you's out to Hue_mee, Cheryl, Anna, Macca, Jenny Lee, and Kriziazafiro for your wonderful feedback. In answer to your question Jenny Lee...No, I didn't see who left the other bouquets...they were already there when I arrived and no one came for the hour and a half that I was there...In answer to your question Macca....I was there very early right after the park opened...about 8:15 and left around 9:45..the three bouquets with the colors of the Puerto Rican flag were all that was there. I'm going to take a ride out tommorow and see if anything else was left there by anyone else, though. I'll let you know.
To all you sweet ladies who contributed something for Freddie, and all who were there in spirit....I'm sure we made him smile.
Pitooey 06-25-2002, 04:41 PM All Right Wheeone............. I can't wait to hear what else he has. If anything........... :)
wheeeone 06-27-2002, 12:25 AM In answer to Macca's question, when I went back to Freddie's site today there were a few additions. Everything was still there that had been placed on his birthday morning. Atlangel's gorgeous and HUGE floral arrangement for Freddie was there along with two potted flower plants and two florist cards in addition to Atlangel's on her arrangement. There was a second beautifully written one from Atlangel and one from Tom Dorsey of Baltimore...I think we've seen that name on our board a couple of times. Someone had gone through the cards as they were a bit re-arranged and someone had taken Cheryl's flowers out of the protector, put them in a crypt vase and set it down on the ground underneath Freddie's crypt...they had also moved her print of her card to another protector.
I thought it was thoughtful for whomever did it to put Cheryl's flowers in a vase...they did put it behind the potted flowers so that maybe they won't be picked up by the caretakers since they blend in with the two on the ground.
It was beautiful to turn the corner and see all of the love for Freddie there.....
Cheryl Harrell 06-27-2002, 01:56 AM Thanks so much to whoever fixed my flowers. Freddie is smiling down because you cared. :) It is so good to see all the love for him! Thanks to all who have remembered him on his birthday in some way. :) We love ya Freddie! & Thanks to Wheeone for putting the floers & cards etc on the grave & to Atlangel for forwarding the things on to her. :) Freddie loves you all on here I am sure because all of you on here have remembered him. :)
Pitooey 06-28-2002, 01:06 AM This is so interesting to hear. There was a nice thoughtful person over there and I'm glad they went.
It feels so good to hear that our messages of love were still there. Thank you Wheeone and Atlangel for helping us. Plus to all the Freddie fans who love Freddie unconditionally.
