A few things about this episode:

When Wally comes home and questions why Beaver and Gilbert are acting so funny, they run upstairs and slam bedroom door. Wally demands they open door. Then Gilbert says in a really loud voice, "You think we should tell him we had his two friends thrown in jail?" Wally must have heard it. Gilbert then says to Wally in the same level, "We're tired and going to bed."

After Ward gets a call from Fred he wakes up Wally to say someone called the police. Wally says he thinks he knows who did it. June says "Do you think it was your brother, ......Beaver?" Which other brother? Orville?

Gilbert must have had a hard life living with parents who always try to get rid of him. I already mentioned how Lumpy stands in the road still wearing mask while talking to cops. That would not happen.

Doesn't June also ask Wally something like, Do you know who might have done it, or who would know anything?

Who else? Is she new to this game?

June sometimes was like a Stepford Wife. Like in Beaver's Accordion. "Ward it's an accordion!"

Or in In The Soup: "Oh no it couldn't be. He's over at Whitey's."

Ward is quicker on the retake, as in the Bootsie (wootsie) episode--he called the boys down immediately.

I often wondered what June would have done without Ward. She seemed to be so complacent where Ward was concerned. She let him do all the disciplining except in Beaver Won't Eat where I believe she was unreasonable about the Brussel's sprouts.

Good point. I don't recall her imposing any punishment other than that misguided one.
