I watched a episode some time ago and I thought it wasn't very good. But when I was a teen I loved the show so I think the show must not have aged well. I know transformers in unwatchable to me now cause my tastes changed so much.

I whipped out the DVD set recently. It's a weird show but still very good. It's a lot better than what Big Bang Theory became.

I will also say this - season 2 holds up a lot more as well as aging better. Both are good, both are ahead of their time, but season 2's new writers - and you might notice one of them also worked on "Simpsons" and "Futurama" also plays a big hand in the final season.
Season 1 can be very hit or miss at times, but is also as much ahead of its time as it is finding a new trope within the sitcom genre. It is experimental. It's easier to experience a couple of times than to try to explain, since I can't properly articulate it.
Season 2 has been consistently entertaining as it remains outlandish but ditches formulaic sitcom plots. It had me laughing out loudly more often per episode. It's more consciously using parody and spoof and unabashedly so. It's also a shame the series got cut short, but for the early 1990s, this stuff was a ribald as anything could get.

I borrowed it from the library, season 1 that is, and watched a few episodes. I really liked the show back in the day.
