With the pressure of PC and Christopher Columbus NOT setting foot on the American soil... should we still call it Columbus Day? Or have all voyagers be included and have it be Discoverers Day? Or since we should be more PC, have it be called Indigenous People's Day? Or since Government Buildings are closed...why not let it be National Bosses Day? Or make it a Monday we have off?
I have a poll for this...

I don't care as long as we still have the day off.

Columbus did not set foot on American soil, true, but he did set foot on North America.
So I vote we keep Columbus Day.

it already has another name - Canadian Thanksgiving, now go buy another turkey.
Columbus Day. It has been an American holiday for a long time and some
things should just be left alone.
