Was in Pigeon Forge, TN this Saturday to see "Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Adventures" show (which was really good!) and while driving around town I spotted a classic 50's diner named "Mel's Diner". Looked really cool. We may eat there next time...which will be in November.

If you look on their menu under the collectibles section, they have "Kiss My Grits" t-shirts.

There's a Mel's Diner somewhere in or around Ft. Myers, FL as well. My fiance lives there and she said that she went there once and that the service was terrible.

We ate there, don't expect any Alice themes or likeness. It was ok but it was not the 50's theme we expected from the look of the outside. It was more modern on the inside.

They have/had another diner that had a 50's feel inside it but not sure if the fires destroyed it or not, as we have not been back since then. It was on the main drag. I cannot remember the name but it was a teal front and had a 50's look to it.
