(The NY Yankees won the AL Wild Card playoff by beating the Minnesota Twins, 8-4.)
(Ralph just watched the game on TV with Norton. He is beaming with excitement.)
Ralph: "Wow! This is the first time since 2012 that the Yankees are back in the AL Divisional Series. Some rebuilding year, Norton."
Ed: "I agree Ralph-ie boy. If this is a rebuilding year, than I hope EVERY year is a rebuilding year."
Ralph: "Hahahaha."
Ed: "Just think, early on in the game when the Yanks were down by 3, you looked like you would have a heart attack and with your body, its a wonder that you didn't."
Ralph: "Nothing can spoil my happy mood Norton. Now, the Yanks will beat Cleveland and extend their World Series title drought. Since the Cubs ended thier 108-year-long drought last year, the Indians now have the longest drought in MLB."
Ed: "When they met each other last year, the Cubs were the sentimental favorite only due to sympathy."
Ralph: "When the Yankees meet the Cubs in the World Series Norton, I hope that you don't say that you hope the Cubs win because they only won one title in 109 years."
Ed: "Okay, I won't say that."
Ralph: "Good."
Ed: "I won't say that even though I want that to happen due to sympathy."
Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"
(Ed leaves.)
(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)
Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT!"
(Crowd cheers.)
