With the pen through tongue and Rubik's cube illusions, the first one did require a gimmicked thumb that you could push a pen through; and he must've practiced talking with an extra tiny Rubik's cube in his mouth that wasn't mixed up and had two in his mouth at the same time before he finally pulled the solved one out of his mouth. With Jonathan Pendragon's illusion, there was likely an extra twin behind that box to assist Jonathan in getting out of that bag and then get into it herself while he tied it since they never showed the other side of the box and reveal that it didn't have a back.
