Jedediah Bila Exits "The View"
by Denise Petski
September 18, 2017

Jedediah Bila, a conservative voice on ABC’s daytime talker "The View", is leaving the show. Bila announced her departure Monday during the broadcast and said today would be her last day — to gasps heard in audience.

She didn’t give a specific reason for her departure but said she is writing a book and is working on other projects. “This has just been an amazing journey, and I appreciate all of you. I want to thank the viewers, even the ones that write me hate tweets,” she told her co-hosts and the audience.

“This has been a really great experience, and mostly I just want to speak to the viewers and say we are nothing without you,” she added.

The show really needs to get some of the old people back.

I never watch the show but they often make news by the ignorant political statements they make, especially Joy Behar, who has no brains.

^I agree. Joy is a big mouth with no brains.

Thirded. I can't stand Joy Behar. I think she is so obnoxious.

Meghan McCain Takes Conservative Chair on "The View" after Jedidiah Bila’s Hasty Exit
by Lisa de Moraes
September 27, 2017

More musical chairs on "The View". This time, the show has swapped out Jedidiah Bila for Meghan McCain in the Conservative Panelist chair.

Bila’s abrupt exit came days after "The View‘s" Hillary Clinton interview, which had led to some theorizing she got the hook for asking Clinton tough questions. McCain is expected to start in early October, joining the panel of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Paula Faris, and Sunny Hostin.

McCain — the daughter of U.S. Senator and 2008 presidential nominee John McCain — has described herself as a Republican with liberal views on several social issues.

She had recently announced her exit from Fox News Channel and was rumored to be in the running for the new spot on "The View" until today's official announcement.

At Fox News, McCain was a contributor and served as one of the co-hosts on the afternoon program "Outnumbered". Prior, she hosted a series, "TakePart Live", on the now-defunct Pivot network, and she was also a contributor to MSNBC and The Daily Beast.

She first garnered media attention in 2007 for blogging about her experiences on the campaign trail when her father was running for president.

Why her? Not a great choice at all.
