Head of the Class
Many episodes from the first few seasons are on YouTube. I'd forgotten what a great show it was, despite several of the "students" being about 30 years old.

Yong Fang 10-27-2017, 05:49 AM To use the Op's list:
1. Benson I loved Soap, and Benson was awesome in it. This show not so much. I watched it some as a kid.
2. Family Ties I was in a suburban high school in the early 1980's and everyone watched this show. The kids were our age, it was a similar circumstances to ours (upper middle class, suburban). I watched it so I can see Justine Bateman in those tight jeans.
3. Night Court We used to love this show in college. A great stoner comedy.
4. Mr. Belvedere Rarely watched this. Had an overweight butler. Bob Ueker, pass.
5. Newhart. I watched this for Bob Newhart but to me it pales in comparison to The Bob Newhart Show. The side characters were all annoying to me, Darryl, Darrlyl and Bob (or whatever), Tom Poston, the whiny Julia Duffy and boyfriend.
6. My Two Dads. Never watched this.
7. The Facts of Life. I watched this because the girls were around my age, and Lisa Wechel was hot.
8. Different Strokes. Everybody watched this show for awhile and gary Coleman was very famous for a time. Our post 1990 born readers may not know this, but Coleman was like a child Eddie Murphy, and he was in a lot of shows and appearances. His parents totally ripped him off.
9. Cheers. One of my favorite shows then. I havent really seen it for a long time and dont know if I could get back into it. I tried Frasier and just didnt like it and tried to give it a shot.
10. Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister. Never seen this. UK show.
11. Growing Pains I probably saw this a few times and didnt like it. Kirk Cameron is a freak.
12. Too Close for Comfort I liked this show a lot. Ted Knight is hilarious and it is sad he died at a relatively young age. I am of the minority opinion in that I found the dark haired daughter more attractive than the blonde.
13. Who's the Boss? Never really saw this. Why? Cant really say. I loved Soap, I loved Taxi, and Judith Light is a nice looking lady, and then there is Alyssa Milano. Dunno, the show looked dumb to me, and they milked the whole will Tony boink the Judith Light character or not, and that the Katherine Helmond character was a horny old broad. Pass.
14. ALF Saw this when it came on. Hate to bring this up, but a lot of the reason we watched it was that we were in our late teens and thought the daughter was attractive and so was the mother. Didnt much care for the guy who played the father. Probably wouldnt watch this for ten minutes now.
15. Small Wonder. Never saw it, robot kid, right?
16.The Cosby Show This was the number one show in the decade, everybody watched it.
