Nick did not have many redeeming qualities, but somehow I really could not dislike him. He was played by a great actor, who somehow made Nick not totally unlikeable even though he was kinda of a jerk.

Exactly!!! ;) Richard Masur was a really good actor. It was cool how he played Nick and also David on One day at a time around the same time and were two totally different characters! :) ;)

The Rhoda eps. with Nick were really funny! :D

He had some wild wavy hair. When my hair gets that long it gets wavy like that too.
