I tried to go get my haircut at the college barbers shop and they told me I had lice. I was angry and I will go somewhere else to get my hair cut... I may shave it all off myself!
Then I told my boss about it and he said I need to treat it every day! I have a louse comb to see if it's lice, but all I see is white specs. I've already washed my bedding but I think it's Dandruff since it's white and not eggs are darker.
I had to return home since my boss said I have to wash my hair before I go into work... I even looked-up the signs of lice. If it's tan, it's lice. I did some research...and the only time I can see a dermatologist is two months from now!
I even feel I may get evicted since I told my neighbors...and one has OCD...this pic I put-up says how I feel...

Get a lice or nits shampoo and wash the bugs out. It's unlikely they will live on other surfaces but as a precaution vacuum your whole house and wash the bedding as it says here: http://www.lyclear.co.uk/products/head-lice-treatments/head-lice-shampoo/

I don't really know! But I think if it were lice it would be really itchy! And dandruff just a little itchy. Also I think with dandruff you would see flakes when you scratch your head or in your comb. And lice being contagious, there would probably be others you are close to that have it too!
I think you should go to a doctor or clinic and get it diagnosed. Or maybe even ask a pharmacist at a Rite Aid or somewhere. I had a red bump on my eye once, totally itchy and my eye was all watery and I asked a pharmacist at Rite Aid and she diagnosed a stye, and was completely correct. She told me exactly what over the counter medicine to get, and it cleared up within 3 days.
Also I wouldn't worry about the haircut right now till it's all cleared up. If you shaved your head and it was lice ,I think they would still be in your scalp even with no hair?
Good luck.Hope you get over this soon!

I'll be going to the hospital tomorrow, there's one nearby that has a dermatologist that can treat me sooner than The Cleveland Clinic.

I think only the older ones are tan. It's been a while since we went through this at home.
You will need to wash and dry your bedding and towels and have your couch steamed, if it's lice; to prevent a reinfection.

Well...
Luckily my neighbor used to check lice and she says I'm clean. So my itchy scalp comes from Dandruff, but I'll still use the lice shampoo to get rid of the Dandruff since that helps as well.
But will lice powder destroy fleas?

Fleas? Paul, you're killing me here. Get a good dandruff shampoo like Nizoral or just good ole Head & Shoulders. That barber needs more training. He should know the difference between dandruff and lice. I hope everything gets squared away for you.

Dandruff is just dead skin falling off. This happens all over your body but you only notice it on your scalp because it falls on your shoulders and you see it. It's perfectly normal.
