I think it's wrong to have inside jokes about anyone. Whether they are your friends, or if they aren't your friends. Nothing good will come out of it in the end. In fact, if a person were to keep having inside jokes as they got older, all the people they hang
with might end up thinking that's immature and wrong and then the person might have no-one to hang with. In the end, a situation like that would probably end up as a no win situation and a possible loss of friendship. Also, it shows that a person has no dignity if they were so low as to have inside jokes with other people about other people who don't really deserve that kind of disrespect.

If you don't like the person, you shouldn't have inside jokes with them. That's just like wrong.

(and i dont think she means that she's talking about the person, it's that they have inside jokes 2gether. like my friends call me, Raina da Paina! inside joke)

Inside jokes are a tricky subject. On one hand they are a cool thing to share with people cos it makes you feel closer together. But it really sucks if you're on the outside - like, when everyone seems to be in on the joke except you.
On the whole I'd have to say that inside jokes are pretty sucky. I've been on the outside of 'em waaaaay too often and it made me resent those people cos they wouldn't let me share in the joke. As a result, I tended to avoid those people because they didn't act in a particularly friendly manner toward me.

I think inside jokes can be a good thing to have, but if there are people who are there who dont remember the joke or werent involved I dont think you should bring it up because it would make them feel like they are on the outside....an example is if you were with the same group of kids basically for a couple years and got close at camp and some new kids came might feel left out cuz they dont know what everyone is talking bout

totally agree. *couhgs* not talking from experience or anything. but i love inside jokes. they bring ppl closer. my opinion. it helped with a friendship that was going to end soon and i brought up these old inside jokes and we just laughed and luahged and well, now we're talking. so, i think they're a good thing.

but, not with ppl you hate. it's like you share a bond, ya know? and if you hate the person, you're like making a commitment sorta with an inside joke. get it?
