Genie Francis Returning to "General Hospital"

After a two-year absence, Genie Francis is returning to "General Hospital". The soap's executive producer, Frank Valentini, shared the news on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

"Hey #GH fans: I have AWESOME news...@GenieFrancis is coming back to @GeneralHospital !!!"

Hopefully, they will give her a story line deserving of her character's deep importance to the series!!!

It surprises me how long some of these actors stay on these shows. I used to watch Days in college, stopped watching around 1990 (because I was getting a job and a life), and the. Was overseas for about 15 years. Came home and there were at least four or five actors from the show that were there 30 years ago.

The person who wrote this TV Guide article is clearly a failure at reporting information. Genie Francis has been back on GH as a regular for the past 2 years.

Plus, even if the author was not aware of this - and didn't feel up to doing any sort of fact checking - if you go to the article (linked in the 1st post) and look at the bottom of the tweet that is reprinted as the basis for this article, it shows that the tweet is dated "Apr 29, 2015".

Funny, but also a bit sad when I think of what a good magazine TV Guide used to be...many, many years ago.

now Frank got rid of Genie...he wouldn't talk to her and he posted some crap about Genie had an announcement to make.....really tacky.....they brought on tony Gearys "luke because of Laura and GH would have gone off the air if it wasn't for Genies' Laura...this is a disgrace,,,and Frank Valentini who knows what else he will pull
