I'm not too excited as I live in Michigan and it won't be a big deal. I remember the eclipse in 1979. The light outside was kind of a funny color and it was noticeable so that's what I'm expecting again today. I'll be looking.

Well, about 2:10 Pm I noticed that it was getting kind of dark in the house. I looked out the window thinking it was clouding up but it was kind of hazy and I could see the shadows of the trees. as of 2:43 right now it is getting brighter. It was pretty cool even though we didn't have the total eclipse. It was the same as 1979. The sun is now shining!

I'll be glad when it's over and done with, much hype and ado over nothing as far as I'm concerned. And there will be an eclipse again in April 2024. Well isn't that wonderful, peachy keen and hunky dory. I can't wait.

Though we weren't in the direct path we still got to enjoy it pretty well. My wife, daughter, niece and I gathered with most of the neighbors, and some others who came out to the open field where we were at.
And hey, I got to have the day off from work because of it (as they were keeping all the trucks off the road because of the expected traffic) I ain't complaining. haha
It's nice to see people making a big deal out of something that isn't politically related.
