They have a few similarities: Davis came in halfway through Wings and Helen Chapel became his fiancee. Helen broke off the engagement to start a relationship with Joe Hackett, Helen and Joe were married for a few seasons. Donny came in halfway through Frasier and Daphne Moon became his fiancee. She left him at the altar to start a relationship with Niles Crane, Niles and Daphne were married for a few seasons.

Seeing as the Lynch season came before the Donny Douglas seasons, I'd say Donny Douglas is the Davis Lynch of Frasier. ;)

I would say yes. Donny was a more likable character, Saul Rubinek was also a better actor than Mark Herelik. But Niles had been pining for Daphne from the start of the show and fans wanted them together.

What exactly is the point of Davis? :confused:

Davis was useless and annoying.
