The show was fantasy and it involved an interesting form of time travel as its premise, but it was mostly grounded in reality. Sam is placed in the middle of real time periods dealing with people who could be real in situations that probably have happened at some point. Time travel was just a plot device to get the ball rolling and the show rarely incorporated that into the actual story. Then there were the times when things got weird, and Sam dealt with some truly supernatural things. He’s a scientist so he never believes, but there’s always a hint that something wild really is going on.
This week I thought I’d take a chronological look at this trips to bizarro-land when the show would just get a little too X-Files for everyone else. But first, we’ve got to have the intro because…why wouldn’t we?
