In 1993 game show legend Wink Martindale had the chance to host a game show version of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit. Debuting on The Family Channel as part of it's game show block Trivial Pursuit's game show version was also one of the first interactive game shows that could be played by calling a special telephone number and several times during the game the top players of the telephone game were featured on a scoreboard and at the end of the game the top player of Trivial Pursuit's telephone game was announced and the winner recieved cash as a prize. In fact due to it's popularity Parker Brothers released a special board game of the game show version of Trivial Pursuit and also due to Trivial Pursuit's success as a game show The Family Channel also debuted game show versions of Boggle and Jumble as interactive game shows as well. Trivial Pursuit The Game Show was also produced by Wink Martindale as the first game show on The Family Channel to be produced by a game show star

I don't remember this show. I do remember a Trivial Pursuit gameshow but it aired just a few years ago and was hosted by Christopher Knight (aka Peter Brady). DTK I know how you feel. No one will play trivial pursuit with me either. I own the genus game and at least half a dozen subsidiary card sets.
