In 1993 game show legend Wink Martindale had the chance to host a game show version of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit. Debuting on The Family Channel as part of it's game show block Trivial Pursuit's game show version was also one of the first interactive game shows that could be played by calling a special telephone number and several times during the game the top players of the telephone game were featured on a scoreboard and at the end of the game the top player of Trivial Pursuit's telephone game was announced and the winner recieved cash as a prize. In fact due to it's popularity Parker Brothers released a special board game of the game show version of Trivial Pursuit and also due to Trivial Pursuit's success as a game show The Family Channel also debuted game show versions of Boggle and Jumble as interactive game shows as well.
