Friday morning on a San Francisco Radio station they are doing a trvia contest. Ont of the quetions is "Who was the First TV Couple to appear in bed together?"

They gave the answer as being the Flintstones. I believe the answer is Ozzie and Harriet.

I remember reading about how the Network censors did not want any couple in bed together in the 50's and 60's. Ozzie Nelson challenged this because he and Harriet were really married and for them to be in seperate beds was ridiculous.

He got his way and there are episodes with the two of them in bed together.

Does anyone else have any comments.? Lucy and Ricky had twin beds.

I have seen Florence Henderson on a talk-show saying The Brady Bunch was the first show to have a married couple in one bed. Don't know if that is true or not.

The first TV couple to share a bed was "Mary Kay and Johnny" way back in 1948.

I do think the Munsters beat the Bradys. But it's true about Ozzie and Harriet and Mary and Johnny. Being married in real life gave a bit of pull. I do see scenes with Lucy and Ricky with the twins pushed together, so it somewhat looked like one big bed.
