I'm surprised the censors allowed the "S" word to get in there during last night's episode. I'm not offended by profanity (I hear a lot worse in the real world than I do on TV) but I always thought certain words, including s**t, were big no-no's on regular network TV. I think it was very appropriate for Mark to say it in the situation he was in though. The man was dying from a brain tumor in his 30's and he was leaving behind a beautiful young wife and two young daughters. I'm surprised he didn't yell out worse words. The episode also airs at 10 PM, Eastern time when any decent parent would have their young children in bed anyway.

I'm sure some parent advocacy groups and fundamentalist Christian groups will be complaining about it though.

Ah yes, first Harry Pothead, now this..

And I wasn't suprised either. I mean if I were him, I would have been having a fit. He was pretty calm. Especially when he fell. If that was me, hah I would have been throwing things around, yelling out cuss words, and everything else

People get so worked up over the lamest things sometimes, IMHO.

Every once in a while, some shows can slip in a word that's on the "no-no" list. Usually they have to beg and plead with the network censors and in certain cases, they let it by
Remember the episode of "South Park" a while back, they used the "S" word dozens of times in an episode.

Hey, if they can allow Dennis Franz to show his butt on Prime Time, then they can let them use the "S" word on "E.R"

I saw that episode of South Park last week (Comedy Central is doing some countdown of the most notorious South Park Episodes). That came in at #2. They had a little counter up in the corner, they said the "s word" over 150 times in that episode. Now I don't know how that got by censors....maybe they're a little more lax on cable TV. But I can see why they let in for Mark.....I mean at least he had good reason for saying it, it wasn't just thrown in extraneously....
