Episode 11 of Season 8 involved Donna and Midge matchmaking Midge's overbearing mother with Alex's crotchety father (also played by Carl Betz). MeTV skipped this episode, or it's not syndicated.

My theory is that it's a leftover episode from season 7, and it's the only 8th season episode with Bob Crane in the cast. Since season 7 is one of the so-called missing or lost seasons, this is probably why it's not included. Does anyone know for sure?

Just noticed they are also skipping episode 21, "All This And Voltaire Too", which would be on next week. Can't figure this one out...the IMDB describes the episode as being about Donna and Midge learning how to speak French.

Too bad they are skipping episode 21, as I have that one from an old 16mm print and it's quite good for so late in the series run. It also allows Donna to perform some great physical comedy.

Just looked at the MeTV schedule yesterday, and they are also skipping the final episode (By-Line--Jeff Stone), with Lesley Gore. My theory on that one (that I put in another thread) is that the music clearances expired.
