I was watching a PBS music special that had Jefferson Airplane in it and I was amazed that Jefferson Airplane is still popular and Grace Slick is still fabulous in her 70's. I know from reading about Jefferson Airplane that they took their name from one of their member's dogs and then became Jefferson Starship and had the hit songs Hearts Miracles and With Your Love and Count On Me and later became Starship in the 80's and had hits with We Built This City Sara and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now that was featured in the movie Mannequin 2. When Jefferson Airplane was popular in the 60's it seemed that almost everyone had a copy of their popular album Surrealistic Pillow

I've never been a huge fan of theirs but I like some of their hits. In 1967 as Jefferson Airplane, they had the two hits Somebody To Love and White Rabbit. Then in the 70's as Jefferson Starship, their most successful hits were Miracles, Count On Me, and Jane. All of these are good.

Ah, Grace Slick......Where was I ? Oh, big fan of Airplane since '67; one of my all-time favorites. Starship..not. Do like "Miracles" a lot (full-length version).

Did you ever have a copy of Jefferson Airplane's album Surrealistic Pillow Edison? That album is a classic and is a good album to have in your collection. My favorite Jefferson Airplane song is White Rabbit and I actually know the whole song and a fact about the song is that it's actually about the Alice In Wonderland books and the intro of White Rabbit was inspired by Maurice Ravel's Bolero

I can't stand "White Rabbit"...we have someone at a jam nite who sings it every time...badly!
But Grace Slick sang this that was on Sesame Street...
