On Saturday, August 19, Antenna TV will be marathoning Newhart from 1PM to 10PM EDT (10AM-7PM Pacific) and the schedule just dropped.
1PM I Enjoy Being a Guy
1:30PM The Lady and the Tramps
2PM Book Beat
2:30PM Vermont Today
3PM My Fair Larry
3:30PM RIP Off
4PM The Prodigal Darryl
4:30PM Summa Cum Larry
5PM The Stratford Horror Picture Show
5:30PM The Shape of Things
6PM Pirate Pete
6:30PM I Do, Okay?
7PM Take Me To Your Loudon (my favorite episode! "She's probably a droid!")
7:30PM The Buck Stops Here
8PM The Nice Man Cometh
After that, the schedule stops, but I'm glad Take Me To Your Loudon is on there! I've seen it about 20 times in the past 2 months, but it never EVER gets old!

There's a bit more actually. :)
8:30 - "Homes and Jo-Jo" S7/Ep19
9:00 - "Dick and Tim" S8/Ep21
9:30 - "The Last Newhart" S8/Ep24
It's interesting that the episode listing is identical to the marathon they had last year.
I agree about "Take Me To Your Loudon". That is definitely one of the best in the series.

That would probably explain why Homes & Jo Jo is in the marathon despite it just airing a few weeks ago.
Before they released the schedule, I thought for sure that one of the episodes with Kirk's grandma were going to be aired, since she was played by Ruth Gordon, who to my understanding was very famous back in the day. I don't know, I wasn't born til 2002. I'm glad they aren't airing those though, as Kirk's grandmother was an unlikeable old hag, especially when she ruined Kirk's date with Leslie.

Kirk's grandma didn't bother me really. The episode with Leslie didn't do much for me, but I did think her second appearance, when she gets Kirk and Cindy thrown in jail, was very funny.

Maybe one of the reasons I didn't really like her character was partly because she was only in seasons 1 and 2, my least favorite seasons. Her character was still unlikeable nonetheless but we're entitled to our opinions.

:) Newhart is one of the main reasons I hate not being able to get Antenna TV. At least it's available on DVD.

I've tried an antenna. Doesn't work in my area cause I'm in the sticks.

I sure did have a lot of fun watching the marathon. For the first time in a long time, I actually left my bedroom to watch it with my mom in the living room, something very rare for me. And mom was almost going to have a garage sale that day, but I'm glad she decided not to. :)
Turns out, the only thing she remembers from originally watching the finale in the 80s was the ending.
