View Full Version : What would you like to see added and removed from Antenna TV?
Plater of Everything 08-05-2017, 08:17 PM Personally I'd like to see Step by Step and Bosom Buddies added.
It would be nice if Family Ties and Doogie Howser left the schedule. Family Ties is waaay too political for me, and although politics is one of my interests, I don't like it popping up in sitcoms. And Doogie Howser isn't even a real sitcom, so it doesn't fit in with the Antenna TV lineup which mainly consists of sitcoms.
Svenfan1234 08-05-2017, 09:32 PM Doogie Howser is a dramedy so it does fit.
I'd love to see Chico and the Man, Step by Step and the Wonder Years added.
mets82 08-05-2017, 10:47 PM Doogie Howser, Mr. Belvedere, Family Ties, All in the Family, Good Times can leave.
The Wonder Years, Happy Days, Archie Bunkers Place, Bachelor Father should be added.
Jamey Greek 08-05-2017, 11:32 PM Leave: the credit crunch!
Added: more episodes of Johnny Carson, Late Night with David Letterman and even a game show block like CBN and USA used to have back in the days.
Plater of Everything 08-05-2017, 11:35 PM more episodes of Johnny Carson
It already has 8 hours a week!
Doogie Howser, Mr. Belvedere, Family Ties, All in the Family, Good Times can leave.
The Wonder Years, Happy Days, Archie Bunkers Place, Bachelor Father should be added.
YES!!!! Although I think MeTV still technically has rights to Happy Days
BigManMike 08-06-2017, 12:16 AM Leave: the credit crunch!
Absolutely! That's what I want to go away the most.
As for shows that can leave, I say Father Knows Best, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, All in the Family, Sanford and Son, and Good Times. They have been played to death.
If the credit crunch went away, then I would say add Diff'rent Strokes and Who's the Boss?
Bonniegirl 08-06-2017, 12:18 AM YES!!! Add Who's the boss !! I would love that!:)

I think they wouldn't be played to death if they weren't on for more than 2 days a week. They gotta remember, these are RERUNS. Limiting the days would spread out the episodes.
Why does everyone fetishize over the credits? Would you rather they show nothing but credits 24/7, actual shows 0/0?
I think Who's the Boss is syndicated, but only on WADL, I know this since I receive WADL

Who's the Boss is also on KTXD in Dallas. It's still shown on a few local stations but not many. I just wish I got one that had it.
icecream 08-06-2017, 01:59 PM They are adding a bunch of shows this year, most of them sound good. The shows that should leave and not come back: All in the Family, Good Times, Sanford and Son, Three's Company, Father Knows Best, The Flying Nun, Maude, Becker (too new for Antenna), Webster, Evening Shade, It's About Time, and Circus Boy
Plater of Everything 08-06-2017, 03:06 PM It's About Time

Green AcresBenson is returning to Antenna TV later in the year, hopefully it gets a good weekday slot this time. With the schedule changes in September Newhart and Green Acres are getting better slots. Green Acres gets upgraded to the 2PM hour on weekdays. Newhart will air weekdays at 5:30PM, 11PM (Monday-Thursday), and an early morning slot. Plus it will air an episode each Sunday at 8PM and 11PM. Johnny Carson isn't going anywhere. He was considered the king of late night for a reason, has several sitcom stars from the 70s and 80s which you might like some of. I would agree that 3 hours for Johnny on Friday and Saturday nights is a bit much.
icecream 08-10-2017, 01:55 PM Add: The Golden Girls, Home Improvement & Who's The Boss
No, no, no on the Golden Girls!!! That show is way overplayed on so many other networks. I agree with Home Improvement, hasn't aired on any broadcast network in a long time.
AMackII 08-16-2017, 09:39 PM I will also to like to see Its A Living being added to Antenna TV
biffbronson 08-16-2017, 10:00 PM Add: If not The Courtship of Eddie's Father, how about The Dennis O'Keefe Show? Or My Favorite Martian for Bill Bixby fans?
Some more to consider:
The New Dick Van Dyke Show - DVD!!!!
The Brian Keith Show - Shelley Fabares' super hair!
Far Out Space Nuts - Bob Denver!
The Governor and JJ - Julie Sommars!
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir - Charles Nelson Reilly!
Love, American Style - swingin' show
Maybe for weekends only, Margie starring Cynthia Pepper? How about the unrelated old series My Little Margie for Mon-Fri?
Probably time for The Patty Duke Show to take a rest -- I like the series, but at only 3 seasons in length, it's cycled many times. Maybe give Hazel a break for a while as well.
icecream 08-16-2017, 10:03 PM Patty Duke was off the schedule for a few years. It just came back this year, no need to take it off for awhile.
mikey0581 08-16-2017, 11:20 PM perfect strangers. a game show block like supermarket sweep or the bob barker price is right. scrabble and concertration with alex trebec. would like to see them bring back the Totally Tooned in on saturday night. i love watching the old cartoons. maybe they can do a cartoon/kids hour with maybe bozo or rocky and bullwinkle or even woody woodpecker.
Plater of Everything 08-16-2017, 11:45 PM I think I might email Antenna TV with a list of some of the shows that we've said we want added. I'll tell you about what response I get.

Remove: Becker
Add: Dave's World, and The John Larroquette Show.
who8mycookie 08-18-2017, 02:56 AM Bring Back/Add
Too Close For Comfort (days or late night)
Bachelor Father
Flo (do it like they did the Three's Company spinoffs)
Leave It To Beaver
Odd Couple
Taxi
Growing Pains (Is that good? I remember I watched it as a kid but never since)
more classic TV from the 50/60's that have not been aired in ages in the morning/day slots
Maybe add weekend slots for:
Incredible Hulk
Wonder Woman
Dukes of Hazzard
Knots Landing
Dallas
Magnum PI
Simon & Simon
Riptide
Hunter
(I know they don't fit the sitcom theme of the channel but I want to see them so I added them)
Remove:
Bewitched
I Dream of Genie
Good Times
Sanford & Son
Doogie
Becker
Sabrina The Witch
Mork & Mindy
Webster
My 2 Dads
Please never bring Fresh Prince to Antenna

Did you email them?
Svenfan1234 08-18-2017, 12:21 PM Remove: Becker

NO I like Becker. That can stay.
I'd love to see All in the Family, Maude, Three's Company, Barney Miller, Good Times, Sanford and Son, & The Monkees finally get a rest. Those can all go. However, I don't think Antenna will be removing The Jeffersons anytime soon, but I could be proven wrong.
I'd also like to see One Day at a Time get more weekday timeslots. They treat it infinitely better than that hackjob Logo!

Becker is too new for Antenna.
icecream 08-18-2017, 01:49 PM Becker is too new for Antenna.Agreed, most of its run was in the 2000s.
Plater of Everything 08-18-2017, 01:51 PM Did you email them?
Yes, they said they don't have the license for anything else other than what's planned
Plater of Everything 08-18-2017, 01:53 PM Becker is too new for Antenna.
But it's actually a pretty good show. Just ignore the fact that it's from the 2000s and you might enjoy it
Agreed, most of its run was in the 2000s.
I wish the show never aired on Antenna TV to begin with.
