Was Mary Ellen Rogers the only girl that Wally dated?
How many episodes was Mary Ellen Rogers in?
Mary Ellen always liked Wally.

Wally dated a lot of girls. His other main squeeze was Julie Foster.

Mary Ellen was in 3 or 4 episodes. These were mostly early episodes...the only later episode I recall is (I think) the Dudley episode from the fourth season.

And, yes, she did. In the later movie, and the New Leave It To Beaver, we learned he married her.

That's right. In one episode, The Orchid, Pamela plays Myra Parker not Mary Ellen. I loved that episode when Wally had to learn the cha cha. When ME arrives in her new dress and twirls the looks on Chester, Tooey and Lumpy are classic.

ME- How are you boys?

Chester- "Fine" Tooey- "Ya we haven't been sick or anything." Lumpy agreeing.

That is one of the great stills in LITB archives.

Myra was the belle of the ball in Wally's Orchid. The cast says she was played by Pamela Beaird. Wasn't that who played Mary Ellen Rogers, also?

Yes. It was strange they had her play Myra after she was already established as Mary Ellen.

Played Mary Ellen twice, then Myra, then Mary Ellen 3 more times.

Cheryl Holdridge also played another character besides Julie, but it was before she played her Julie character, Gloria Cusick in Wally's Pug Nose and Wally The Businessman

In one episode Wally dated Alma Hanson (played by Cindy Carol credited as Carol Sydes), the episode is Wally And Alma. But then in Eddie's Double-Cross Alma is introduced to Wally as if they barely know each other. Maybe this episode was filmed before Wally And Alma, but then aired later?

Wally was also serious with, though we only saw her in two episodes, Evelyn Boothby (played by Mary Mitchell). Wally Goes Steady and Wally's Chauffeur

Random bit of trivia: Mary Mitchell was in the 1960's horror film Spider Baby, which also featured another Leave It To Beaver guest star/date for Wally, Beverly Washburn who played Jill Bartlett in Blind Date Committee.

Wally in Box Office Attraction goes out on a date with a "bad girl" who goes to bars, smokes, drinks beer. Marlene (played by Diane Sayer)

One of my favorite later season episodes.

Yes, that is a really good episode. She played the part quite well. Didn't Gilbert call her a "woman of the world"?

When they were standing outside the bar looking in.

Yeah, I think they were both shocked to see her smoking (OMG!). Then, later she shocked Wally in the car when she was all over him (he could have become a "man of the world").

Very funny!!

Before she was Alma, Carol Sydes was in School Sweater and played Helen. I noticed she didn't get any credit. Never mentioned in the cast. It was just Ken Osmond and Ann Barnes. Also way back in Wally's Girl Trouble Carol played Penny Jamison at dancing school. She was a very pretty girl. Cindy Carol a.k.a Carol Sydes.

^In School Sweater, did Helen have any lines? Normally, if they don't have any lines, they aren't in the credits. All I remember is the 'soakee' girl (Frances????). I guess that would be Ann Barnes.

(BTW my post #5 re Pamela Beaird was an error--If I had seen your previous post, I wouldn't have written it).

No problem, Stevea. Yes Carol had lines in the drugstore telling Frances that Wally doesn't follow any girl when she said he was jealous of her. Later she's with Frances at her house making fudge and asks if that was the boy she likes. She had several lines but no credit. I love when Wally goes to get his sweater and Eddie says "I'm Eddie Haskell."

Tony Dow did a good job playing Wally as being totally out of his comfort zone.

You could really understand Wally's reaction to Marlene. First lying about interior decorating just to get his parents to like her. She really laid it on thick. Wally's face when Marlene jumped on him was classic!! Golly!! Later when she pulled him into Hank's Wally was really uncomfortable. I bet even Eddie had never been there. He wouldn't even try his beer. He was so straight laced but that's how he was raised. I think that June and Ward were appalled that Marlene was seen drinking since the only alcohol ever in the Cleaver house was brandy used to pour over cakes.

Marlene Holmes would have been comfortable invited to a stag party for JFK at WH not as a Cleaver dinner guess.

She could have hung out with JFK and Marilyn Monroe, and whoever else besides Jackie was there.

Marlene was certainly way ahead of Wally. She was like a 35 year old on a date with a 16 year old. I think she was only about 20 as she said she quit school before she graduated. Wonder what Wally saw in her?

He had a thing for "older" women. Like Carol the tennis player in the 5th season.
