In 1989 A fun game show devoted to anything and everything about TV sitcoms made it's debut in syndication named Couch Potatoes. Hosted by Marc Summers Couch Potatoes featured teams of two contestants who chose the names of their favorite TV sitcoms as their team names as they tried to answer trivia questions about TV shows and the team with the highest score got to play a special bonus round. After being cancelled USA Network added Couch Potatoes reruns to their game show block. It would sure be nice to see fun game shows like Couch Potatoes being made again because they sure don't make shows like Couch Potatoes anymore because it was fun to watch and learn facts about TV shows you loved

Couch Potatoes also featured Joe Alaskey as The Neighbor and the show's announcer. He was replaced by former Celebrity Sweepstakes host Jim McKrell later in the run. There were also guest appearances by TV stars of the past.
