After interviewing, and meeting, one of my favorite performers earlier this year (Olivia Newton-John), I got to interview another favorite for an article. :) Vicki's bringing her two-woman show to Bethlehem, Pa., in August. My other half and I have front-row seats to the show, so it's something to look forward to.

Vicki was very nice over the phone. When you have read a number of interviews, it's inevitable that you hear stuff you've already read about, especially when articles you've read were in Q&A style. I'm going to do my article as a full-on article, not Q&A style, though, so hopefully that will distinguish it some.

Also- I finally got the Complete Series DVD, so lots to stuff to watch there. :happyface

Did she do Mama?

Ha no. I thought about asking, but didn't want to put her on the spot, especially as it was 8:30 a.m. her time.

However, I did my best Mama and told her my favorite "Mama" catchphrase/saying- "Well, what the..."? She laughed. :)

I've tried to read the article, but the amount of ads and spam keep pushing me to the bottom of the page. I was reading about her dental "crush" and the page kept moving to the bottom. Wondering if there is a glitch in the website??

That's awesome. :)

Hmm... sorry about that, jayman. There isn't a glitch that I'm aware of. Perhaps it has to load for a certain amount of time.

Forgot to come here after seeing the show last week.

It was a HIGHLY enjoyable time- my cheeks hurt from smiling/laughing so much. I knew a good amount of what she talked about as Vicki, but her delivery is so strong. And she's just a naturally funny person, you can't help but crack a smile. And as Mama, fuhgetaboutit. :D

Highly recommended, if she ever appears in your area.

I'm surprised that Vicki is still doing this show 15 years later. I'd be curious to see what she has updated over the years. I haven't seen the show since 2003.

Was Mama political in 2003? Vicki had said she didn't want to go there right after 9/11, but over the years, she they did touch on it (hence the "Mama For President" book, too). It's not heavy political talk- just a few comments.
