Let me preface this by saying that I don't usually go in for the "lost treasure" segments on UM. Don't get me wrong, I love a good treasure story (who doesn't?), but I consider most of them to be just that...good stories and nothing more. The Victorio Peak segment has always intrigued me however, probably because of our government's involvement, whatever that might be.

My question is this: is it possible that our government took an interest in the treasure and came up with the whole White Sands Missile Range story as cover? Am I thinking zebras here, or did our military get up to no good in this case? For those who enjoy the lost treasure segments, this one is worth checking out.

Possible but not likely a premeditated conspiracy for me. I think it is possible that there was decent amount gold found there by multiple people. but I do question the accuracy of the segment. The whole story seems to be full of excuses and blame.

There is a trail of death for those who were involved around hunting the treasure.

More of Doc Noss' story seems to be coming apart as the "crown" found turned out to just be a picture taken from a Russian auction.
