With The Sims series being a popular computer game I often wonder if there will be a movie based on The Sims being made in the future? As a player of The Sims games a movie of The Sims would be great to see

Probably... Hollywood makes almost anything into a movie then it becomes a franchise whether we like it or not.

I heard that back awhile Sony was trying to make it into a movie. Haven't heard anything since then, and that was years ago. The Sims 2 is my favorite computer game ever, but I'd be curious about a movie if done right, in the spirit of say, The Lego Movie or Wreck It Ralph.

20th Century Fox owns the film rights, purchased back in 2007. Ten years later nothing. I doubt there ever will be a movie as the popularity of the franchise has waned.
