I'm seeing my new friend, who is a high school teacher very soon. She's taking me out to once of my favorite places, which happens to be Dunkin Donuts. It's just going to be me and her, and it is going to feel really good to see her again.

Called the hospital before. My mom is doing well. There's a chance that she is moved out of ICU as soon as tomorrow. Plus, she has been breathing on her own and she's off the ventilator.

have an update on mom. Hope you guys are sitting down. Listen to this. My mom got moved from the 15th floor to the 14th floor of Smilow. But here's the thing. She looks good. I mean there is NOTHING on her. No tubes, she's not hooked up to anything, the treak is out, she's breathing good. They said her vital signs are good, blood is good, her kidneys, which we thought might be a problem, are fine. Its truly amazing. We just don't know when she's getting discharged but hopefully soon.

Her look was either "Wow, I can't believe you're giving me this collection you've had going since you were a teen." or "What the hell am I going to do with all of these posters?" Either way, it was priceless.:lol:

A lot of the posters came from video stores I frequented back in the late 80's/early 90's. They would set them aside for me when they were putting out new promotional stuff. Also bought a bunch when various vid stores had closed over the years.

I saw a Bob Seger concert last night, which was the very last show of our local sporting/concert arena. It's now closing down. Afterward I went to my friend's apartment and hung with him for a while. Our friendship has gone through lots of ups and downs but it finally seems to be turning around for the better.

The cool down started today.:)

The wife and I just finished talking to our daughter on Skype. It's only been a week since she went back to college, so we figured she would want to wait a few weeks before Skyping with us, but she was the one sitting and waiting for us to show up, and ended up calling us to ask why we weren't on.:lol:

The weather here was gorgeous and my girlfriend and I had a long walk. During the walk (at night) a cat was meowing loudly and we decided it might be hungry so we called to it and encouraged it to follow us to her place. It followed us all the way (several blocks), letting us pet it and meowing. Then we when put food out for it, it only ate a couple bites then wandered off! Weird!

But it's nice to be with someone with such a big heart.

Not sure on the gender, but the color was striped gray. A little one, not a kitten but either a female or just a small male. Very friendly (and a bit bossy, lol).
