View Full Version : Season 7 is Here!!!!! NCRavensFan86 07-18-2017, 12:44 PM Season 7 has been uploaded to Amazon, it contains 21 episodes, enjoy!!! DP1 07-18-2017, 01:03 PM Awesome! I can't wait to crack into it tonight! Is this the season Keely Shaye Smith joined? As I recall, they foolishly changed the opening graphics and maybe the opening theme song and the show began to decline at this point. Still, there are memorable case and I always look forward to watching a "new" season of UM. RevengeTypeBurn 07-18-2017, 01:20 PM The Wheelers! Circleville! JannTosh 07-18-2017, 01:31 PM Danny Wheeler and Bob Bean in HD! NCRavensFan86 07-18-2017, 01:38 PM Awesome! I can't wait to crack into it tonight! Is this the season Keely Shaye Smith joined? Thanks for posting! See you all in a few days... popcorn:  DP1 07-18-2017, 01:56 PM That all happens in Season 8. Glad to hear although I did like Keely on the show. dynoguy88 07-18-2017, 02:23 PM I just logged on and I only see seasons 1-6. Am I losing my mind? Because I would need to know if I'm losing my mind. alistaircranium 07-18-2017, 02:29 PM Not on APV Canada yet. DALLASTEXAN!! 07-18-2017, 02:55 PM Not available in England yet. I guess it's karma I was lucky to get a jump on seasons 5 and 6 Todd Mueller 07-18-2017, 04:51 PM I just logged on and I only see seasons 1-6. Am I losing my mind? Maybe try logging out and back in... dynoguy88 07-18-2017, 06:54 PM I have Season 7 on my Amazon smart tv app (in the US). Maybe try logging out and back in... It's showing up now. On my iPad, I just scrolled to the left and it showed up. freakbook 07-18-2017, 07:04 PM Season 7 > 5/6 I felt like I skipped the majority of season 5. Gelatinous Goo 07-18-2017, 08:04 PM Is anyone able to get it in Canada as of yet? Nothing coming up for me. alistaircranium 07-18-2017, 10:37 PM Is anyone able to get it in Canada as of yet? Nothing coming up for me. I just found 3 episodes on the iphone app. undertakeress 07-18-2017, 11:51 PM Omg, what was up with the UFO/ Ghosts/ I see dead people crap in the first few episodes? I think this is when I stopped watching it when I was a kid cause this stuff bored me. Danny Wheeler in HD and his co-incidence's still rock! DazzlerSparkler 07-19-2017, 01:45 AM A user here made it seem like season 6 was littered with paranormal stuff. Define littered cause I don't see that much. Excitabike 07-19-2017, 04:50 PM A user here made it seem like season 6 was littered with paranormal stuff. Define littered cause I don't see that much. For fun, I just went over some of the Amazon season episode guides here and tallied up the paranormal segments. I defined "paranormal" segments as those about people or animal premonitions, UFOs, ghosts, legendary creatures (e.g., bigfoot), or legendary phenomena (e.g., this chair gets everyone pregnant). I did NOT count legends about established people (e.g., where is so-and-so's treasure, Anna Anderson) or cases of fraud that had a paranormal connection. For example: a segment about therapeutic touch would count as paranormal, but a segment where Person X is wanted for milking $ out of people by using therapeutic touch would not. Below is what I got. Feel free to correct any cases, as I did this by myself quickly and may have missed something. Season 1 (24 episodes, 100 segments) Queen Mary General Wayne Inn Mystery Rock Missing Time Tatum House Dorothy Allison Bigfoot Near Death Experiences Season 3 (22 episodes, 92 segments) I couldn't remember if the segment about twin similarities referenced a possible paranormal component. I included it for now. Kecksburg UFO Bermuda Triangle Twins** Ghost of Pawley’s Island Special Powers Katie Doroshenko Dog & Seizures Loretto Chapel Psychic Coral Polge Vancouver Lights Kelsay Haunted House Betty Cash & Vickie Landrum Edgar Cayce Season 6 (23 episodes, 100 segments) Bruce Kelly Reincarnation Frederick Valentich Vanishment The Mann House Fatima Miracle San Pedro Mummy Resurrection Mary Miracle of Lourdes Nova the Cat Interceptors (alien technology) Psychic Instincts (Carolyn Hebert et al.) Therapeutic Touch Death visits (Eggleston/Roark) Miracle Worker Father Casey Bigfoot Halliday/Vera Spirit Phenomena Final Results Season 1 Total segments: 8 Segments per episode: 0.33 % of segments: 8% Season 3 Total segments: 12 Segments per episode: 0.54 % of segments: 13% Season 6 Total segments: 15 Segments per episode: 0.65 % of segments: 15% Not that big of a difference from Season 3 to Season 6, but the rates of paranormal segments in Season 6 roughly doubled from Season 1. alistaircranium 07-19-2017, 06:29 PM I'll take ALL the paranormal segments over the damn "Lost Loves" ones. They're so repetitious and they all tend to revolve around some war-era illegal adoption or sadistic social workers. amandab1234 07-19-2017, 10:07 PM I'll take ALL the paranormal segments over the damn "Lost Loves" ones. DazzlerSparkler 07-20-2017, 12:26 AM I like the lost loves because it provides a counterbalance between the gruesome stuff. Jon 07-20-2017, 10:52 AM I like the lost loves because it provides a counterbalance between the gruesome stuff. Yeah I always thought they used the LL cases as a palate cleanser. I didn't care for LL cases in general, but there were at least 4 or 5 that were memorable (Duncan Gilmore was my favorite). Also there were two cases I liked about Vietnam vets finding their nurses. amandab1234 07-20-2017, 10:59 AM Yeah I always thought they used the LL cases as a palate cleanser. I also enjoyed the story about the Vietnam vets who were friends & they were reunited. NCRavensFan86 07-20-2017, 12:57 PM Season 7 in my opinion is the "less is more" season. There are only 21 episodes and if you count the Paranormal Episodes then you are down to 18 episodes. However, a lot of the crime stories in this season are well done and are 15-20 minutes long. There tend to be a lot more (over 15 mins) long crime stories in Season 7 then in other Seasons. DP1 07-20-2017, 01:20 PM I also enjoyed the story about the Vietnam vets who were friends & they were reunited. That might be my favorite Lost Love case. Hot Jock 07-20-2017, 02:38 PM I also enjoyed the story about the Vietnam vets who were friends & they were reunited. Isn't that pretty much all of them though? 😂 amandab1234 07-20-2017, 03:58 PM Isn't that pretty much all of them though? 😂 I just remember one of them. It was a Korean man & a black man. The black men befriended him. If there were others, I must not have seen them :p Hot Jock 07-20-2017, 06:43 PM I just remember one of them. It was a Korean man & a black man. If there were others, I must not have seen them :p I was being facetious. ;) On the real though, it seems like around half of these Lost Love segments are centered around people either in or somehow related to the military. Especially the first few seasons. It's crazy to think about how difficult it was to find someone only 25-30 years ago as opposed to now. alistaircranium 07-20-2017, 07:35 PM I was being facetious. ;) On the real though, it seems like around half of these Lost Love segments are centered around people either in or somehow related to the military. Especially the first few seasons. It's crazy to think about how difficult it was to find someone only 25-30 years ago as opposed to now. I was thinking the same thing. If they ever do a new series of Unsolved Mysteries, I bet there wouldn't be many Lost Love segments. Most could be solved today through the internet/Facebook! Landa1943 07-20-2017, 08:27 PM I was always under the impression the Lost Love segments all revolved around daddy being a drunken gambler who sold away his children to pay off his loan sharks. https://media.giphy.com/media/3orifasDyJsVhE20Pm/giphy.gif amandab1234 07-20-2017, 10:51 PM I was being facetious. ;) On the real though, it seems like around half of these Lost Love segments are centered around people either in or somehow related to the military. All you need to do now is search on google or Facebook & you'll find them in an instant. Seems like most of the lost love cases were based on poor families & CPS stepping in Lieutenant Bookman 07-20-2017, 11:21 PM There is a disappointing number of supernatural (UFO, Legends, Ghosts, Psychic, etc.) segments in this season so far. I've counted 8 in the first 5 episodes I've watched DazzlerSparkler 07-21-2017, 12:07 AM I suppose I should ask now...what cases can be expected for season 8? amandab1234 07-21-2017, 12:51 AM There is a disappointing number of supernatural (UFO, Legends, Ghosts, Psychic, etc.) segments in this season so far. I've counted 8 in the first 5 episodes I've watched Although I'm not big on the psychic segments, the segment about old relatives reaching out to family members (season 7) was interesting to me WilliamHBonney 07-22-2017, 04:16 AM Seems like around 94-95 the amount of UFO,Ghost and Paranormal stories got more prominent,I wonder if the success of The X Files prompted the shift from a mostly Crime Series to more Conspiracy Theory type stuff. DALLASTEXAN!! 07-22-2017, 08:43 AM I enjoy the lost loves segments more now than ever. It's hard to relate to those situations if you've never lived through those times. I assume most of us on here are around the same age/generation and can appreciate it. It was brief but I'm truly thankful that as a child I got exposed to the pre internet generation. Unsolved mysteries did a great deed helping those people. Even still yet there are lost love cases that do not have updates in spite of our technical advancements NCRavensFan86 07-22-2017, 08:41 PM I suppose I should ask now...what cases can be expected for season 8? Season 8 & 9 have a better variety of cases than Season 7. Season 7 is the worst if you dislike Paranormal Cases. Yet, the CBS seasons are EVEN worse. The early seasons (1-4) and the Lifetime Seasons (12 & 13) seem to be the best if you dislike Paranormal cases according to my research. |
