I missed David after he left. It left a big hole. I enjoyed the David character. Even if he and Ann had not had a romantic future, I wish they'd kept him. I understand why they had him depart. The show was about Ann making it on her own. Still, the character could have stayed on as her friend and lawyer. Anyone agree?

Yes!!!

Keep him on and NEVER introduce Manny Wroblicki. I couldn't stand her character.

She was the sitcom equivalent of chewing tin foil for me.

Ann Romano used him like a box of tissues. Brenda knew how to treat the men in her life.

I also liked Benny.

I hated how they acted as if Joe was "forced" into marriage by Rhoda. That was such contrived bull**** so Rhoda could be on her own again. They totally ruined his character.

I digress.

David Kane was like the nicest guy in the world and she treated him like crap. She also treated Ed badly too.

What did men see in this woman? Am I missing something?

She was a mess. :p

I like Richard Masur in most things. He was in an episode of "The Waltons", and I enjoyed him in that. He was excellent as David Kane and really seemed like a lawyer.

Thanks for that interview! I enjoyed it. I love where he says that he played lots of lawyers because David was a lawyer. Richard played a lawyer very convincingly.

You are welcome!

I also loved how he called out the writers for writing his character into a corner with Ann, so much so that he rewrote the script a little so as to give his character some balls for lack of a better word.
