Whenever I need to escape from the News of the day, I actually proclaim out loud -- Time for my Beaver DVD! It always makes me smile. Am I the only one?

Most of us here (I would imagine) escape to Beaverland - currently 1958 - daily. Me - on MeTV. I have the DVDs but it's just easier to put it on TV.

YES!!! I LOVE my Leave it to Beaver !!;) I was born in 1962 !! Not born yet when it premiered and too young even in later seasons! So I always enjoyed it in reruns!!:) :) I have my Dad to thank, this was his favorite show first run, and when it was coming out in reruns he'd tell my Siblings and I we should watch this show, that's it's really good, very funny!;) Same as My Mom got us into 'I Love Lucy " the same way, that was her favorite show !! Wow can you imagine seeing I love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver first run like my Folks did ??? How cool is that??:eek: ;)

I like the Beaver too. Although, the mother and father get on my nerves. My favorite character maybe Larry Mondello.

I don't watch Leave it to Beaver, but I can't pass up the chance to say "Hi Spuckybuts" :wave:

I grew up watching the last season first run being born in '55 but was able to watch all seasons in reruns in the 60's. Wasn't until TV Land I was able to revisit the Cleavers. Love this show and always gives you a good feeling about people, not fake and sugary like the dreadful Brady Bunch but a natural and genuine feeling because the writing was brilliant.
