In the music industry I have noticed that when singers release new albums they always release a new version of the album or a Deluxe Version of the album and I would like to know why this is? Is this because Deluxe Versions have more songs than the regular albums or is it to add new special extras like a picture album or a DVD of videos? Because on several occasions I have bought Deluxe Editions of albums because I like bonus songs and music DVDs and I have never figured out why Deluxe Editions of albums became so popular in music today. Take for instance when Rihanna released her third album Good Girl Gone Bad it became a best seller but when the songs Take A Bow and Disturbia were released as singles Rihanna rereleased the album and retitled it Good Girl Gone Bad Reloaded and after the rerelease of the album came out the original version of the album disappeared and became rare to find. Another artist that did this is Celine Dion when she released the album A New Day Has Come and when the album came out it was released in a version with a DVD of songs and a video. Then when the song Have You Ever Been In Love was released it was featured in a car commercial and then Celine Dion released the album One Heart which contained some songs from the A New Day Has Come album. And another thing I noticed about Deluxe Editions of albums is why do they always have exclusives to stores? Take for example when Justin Timberlake releases albums they always seem to have exclusive albums that are sold at Best Buy and when Keyshia Cole released her albums they also had exclusive Deluxe albums sold at Walmart and Target. I think this album trend will be popular for music fans for years to come
