The WB had a lot of teen centric soaps/dramas like Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, and Everwood. But ever since the WB merged with UPN and became the CW, that style has more or less been lost on at least mainstream networks (as opposed to say ABC Family/Freeform). The CW rather focuses on adults now. With Riverdale being the first successful show in years to focus on teenagers (albeit with a mystery layer), could we see a resurgence in that style of storytelling?
