Since everyone is in agreement that the show took a turn for the worst after Kim left, and/or Dorian being revealed as Frank's son what would you have done to revamp the show to keep it fresh.

Brandy and her mom should've never have gotten Vida Spears (the show's creator/showrunner). Apparently, Brandy wanted the show to be more serious and "mature."

Bringing in Ray J as Dorian was the downfall of the show. And the revelation of Frank fathering a illegitimate son during his marriage not only completely destroyed his character but the family unit and ultimately the series as a whole. They took this respectable black man and make him into a tired stereotype of him being a liar, cheat, and deadbeat dad. The show never recovered from that mistake.

Yes and no. Bringing in Ray J as Dorian was a great idea. With Moe growing up they needed someone feel in that rebellious teen drama spot. They didn't have to make him Frank's child.

Brandy did want Moesha to be a little more serious and deal with more mature themes and idea. I felt season four was the shows best season but also too boy heavy. I wanted to see her more focus on her writing career, and once kim left that was a chance to add more depth to mo's character and take her down a new path.

In a lot ways, Kim was Moe's safety net. It would have been great for them to show how she dealt with losing her bestie, and have her making some major life mistakes. I did like the element they snuck in about niecy doing better in college than moe though. Very true to life.
