View Full Version : Barbara Cooper Royer is such a SNOOZE!
Anna Karenina 07-05-2017, 05:38 PM THE most overrated TV character ever.
Her sister Julie was far more interesting. Babs was as milquetoast as it gets on a sitcom. It is like her mother and sister were the only ones who had any kind of personality.
This baby faced drop out lingered in a sporting goods store for 3 years and blew her chance to go to college only to marry some bland and boring dentist guy (Whatever) who was even more boring than she was.
Can somebody out there on this forum please tell me what was so great about her?
Bueller. Anybody???

How dare you!! There was never a more nicer, sweeter, approachable person in TV history. Sure, maybe she was lacking a bit in the looks department, but that's Ann and Eds fault, not hers. If husband and baby leaving is what passes for "interesting", I'll take loyal and committed any day. And she was smart enough to go back to school.
And stealing from banks, running away, hiding old guys from the marshals, and marrying guys just to keep them in the country is milquetoast? What do you find exciting?
I think you owe the character an apology, and we both await it.

I will ****ing NEVER apologize to that boring sack of **** that you find so compelling. Or you, random poster who I am not at all familiar with!
And, hell yes! At least you admit she was NO raving beauty but if she in fact WAS I am sure she would use it to her advantage and try to get away with murder because of it.
What do I find exciting? Oh, I don't know, maybe insulting Arabian businessmen on the news, getting married in the park to the groom's best friend, shacking up with random men like her sister, her mother and Claudia The Good! Yes, Faraday, All The Way!
Yeah, she went back to school just to screw with Uncle Whatever's life. Not for personal enrichment or career advancement. He had to throw away a BOOK because of her flightiness!
Passive aggressive little trick! Getting jiggy with her brother in law under her husband's nose! I can't decide if she is boring or just PLAIN EVIL!
Bonniegirl 07-05-2017, 06:34 PM OMG!!!# I think Anna has a death wish!!!!! Opus was heard from, now if RetroKatt reads this!!! Oh boy!!!!

Boring Babs. Boring Babs.
Low energy Babs and Uncle Whatever!
Boring separately! Boring together!

The sweetest most approachable character in TV history is Max Horvath and whatever other characters ML has played!!!;) :)
And you can take that to the bank!! I actually AM in a bank right now, waiting in line!!!:D

He curled her toes by sucking her face and got her bland, boring saliva all over him.
Poor Max!
So desperate for his estranged wife's love he had to lower himself to that moment of weakness.
I wonder if he ever tasted her meatloaf...

In the meantime, she made the team and then totally forgot about them. Could barely dribble, sing or dance and dressed like a putan. A boring one.
Oh yeah and she sat on her brother in law's lap just to get him horny. :happyface

Of course to find his important parts she'd need a flashlight and a magnifying glass. Or a microscope...

Paul Simon singing Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard.
Back to character.
She used Bob as a crutch and emasculated him.
At times her shoulder pads were way too high.
She caused a rift between Rikin and his son.
She couldn't handle BJ and his rejection.
She almost got everybody killed on her birthday.
She never gave her stepmother a chance.
She sent her mother into a depression.
She told Max how to put Annie to sleep.
She stole my idea of a lunch box that I was going to make for you.

She also forced this down Mark and Max's throat!

I prefer Garfunkel.
Carrying on....
-So emasculated he grew up to be a handsome young man with his choice of southern women or skydivers. Sounds like she raised him well.
-Not many guys were checking out her shoulders
-(I don't get the next two. Sorry)
-Blaming her for the burglars is like blaming Toto for all of Dorothy's witch problems
-Vicky was a money-grubber forcing Ed to live beyond his means and cut off the child support
-If Julie was your other daughter, you'd be depressed too.
-Just being a kind thoughtful aunt.
-(Didn't I make part of that lunch box? The photo seems familiar)

Yes, she stole your idea too!
Vicky was trying her best but little Miss Dried Out Meatloaf wouldn't give her a chance.
Kind and thoughtful? How about "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle"?
She was depressed because BABS got engaged, not Julie.
I don't get the sky diver thing.
She told Alex to tell Nick he was hanging around him too much. "Thanks for the nothing advice, Bahbra!"
Have I forgotten something?

That reminds me of Gorp when Kavell and his sidekick were arguing over who's was bigger, and my Kavell said" to find yours you need tweezers and a magnifying glass"!!! : :D That was the scene right before they were hopping out of the girls dorm with their pants down butt to butt !!!!

Things so slow we need threads calling Barbara a Snooze?
She just lead a nice, steady life - with a little risk taking like Dropping out of College and being smart enough to see Mark was the right guy for her.
Come to think of it, they wrote Archie's Niece Billie the same way on "Archie Bunker's Place".

Help me out. You have a good memory. Can you think of other sleeping scenes? The family's in bed at the Xmas cabin, but no ones sleeping. There's a bed scene at the end of Baby Love pt. 1, but just talking.
