Moon Bloodgood Checks into "Code Black" as Rob Lowe's New 'Partner'
by Michael Ausiello
June 28, 2017

Rob Lowe is venturing out into the field on "Code Black" next season — and he’s hitching a ride with Moon Bloodgood.

The "Falling Skies" alum is joining the CBS medical drama’s upcoming third season in the recurring role of Rox, a brassy and competitive paramedic who thinks fast on her feet and doesn’t scare easily. Heroic and full of command, she finds a new challenge in her ride-along partner, Lowe’s Dr. Willis.

As exec producer Michael Seitzman explains, Willis — who is an active member of the military — “changes his focus of training in Season 3 to field medicine.” As a result, the EP says the doc will end up spending the “majority of his shifts” in an ambulance or chopper alongside Bloodgood’s formidable Rox.

Season 3 will bow in early 2018.

"Code Black" Ups Moon Bloodgood to Series Regular for Season 3
by Dave Nemetz
August 16, 2017

"Code Black‘s" new cast member Moon Bloodgood must have made a good impression: She’s already been promoted to series-regular status for the upcoming Season 3, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Bloodgood signed on to join the CBS medical drama back in June in the recurring role of tough-as-nails L.A. paramedic Rox Valenzuela, who’ll be saving lives alongside ride-along partner Dr. Willis, played by Rob Lowe. (Lowe’s character shifts his focus to field medicine in Season 3, either by ambulance or helicopter.)

Now Rox will be a full-fledged member of the cast, starting with Season 3’s fourth episode.
