Did they make a go of it living in London?

Or was it back to 402 in six months?

I think in the end things turned out great for them, I just do.

Ann deserved her happy ending.

What do you think happened with the rest of them?

What do you think happened with the rest of them?

Scheinder- Raised his niece and nephew, who both later moved to NY, sharing many adventures with four other companions
Alex- Discovered his true self; hooked up with Cliff, who also discovered his true self
Francine- Married a plumber. Actually quite happy.
Grandma Romano- A beloved nursing home tenant until her peaceful demise at age 98
Barbara and Mark- Adopted a child only to discover Babs could indeed conceive, meaning two children very close in age
Julie- Got back together with Chuck; living in a van down by the river. Sad, really sad.
Baby Annie- Grew up to be a famous ballerina who solves crimes in her spare time
Max- Became a successful author; married one of his groupies, living happily ever after
:)

I love it! Makes sense for all of em. I'd love to see an Annie spinoff ala Mannix. She could be like the female Mannix.

Hi Sven! The Mannixesque show would be awesome; kind of like Lou Grant, from sitcom to more serious drama.

How did you like This Island Earth?

It was okay! The Metaluna Mutants were hilarious looking! Time of Their Lives, next week, is a really good one! Different Abbott & Costello movie! And then The Car! :D

Yes! Lou Grant-esque would be awesome!

TIE was different in that, in a sense, nothing really happened. Much effort is put into getting dude to the research place. And once he gets there, it's too late, he and hot doc have to go the planet to save everything, and once they get there, oops, it's too late, the battle is lost, so send 'em back to Earth.
Usually, the main protagonist's actions have a direct effect on the plot; in this case, nothing he did really affected anything. Even the climactic "battle" with the mutate ended with the creature succumbing to the pressurized cabin. It was well done, but ultimately flat in terms of drama, IMHO.

And the ending was like- what exactly happened? They plummeted towards the ocean to their deaths? I was a bit confused at that part. I'd really like to see the MST3K version of This Island Earth. This is like the third year in a row Sven has brought this back:
April 2015 (which was his first time since 2012 I believe)
January 2016
June 2017
So, the January-June one was a bigger space of time. Anyway, it was an okay movie.

You should watch Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie, they watch This Island Earth. It's hilarious.

I should. I want to. Sven's skits were funny, though.

I think Exitor or whatever his name was plunged to his death, with the implication that the docs made it back safely in the plane. But it was confusing, so who knows? I watched the MST3K version a long time ago, and barely remember it. For their feature film, it wasn't one of their best efforts.
My favorite MST is the collection of shorts with the Home Economics Story, Cheating, A Date with Your Family, and some more excellent, satirically biting bits of comedy.

One of his bubbly, blonde groupies from the duck pond. ;)

Disagree totally. MST3K: The Movie is easily in their Top 5 for me. The new one on Netflix is pretty funny too.

Yeah that's what I thought at first but I also thought , did they make it home in the first place? I have it recorded so I'll have to watch it. I thought a lot of it was pretty draggy, like you said, and that the Metaluna Mutants were barely used. After seeing Godzilla vs. Monster Zero, I got that kind of vibe from This Island Earth now.

I loved their take on Manos: The Hands of Fate. But for some reason I just can't watch MST3K and Sven back to back though I like MST3K.

Little Annie grew up and got married right out of high school had two kids, a daughter and a son. (Now 13 and 11) became a Nurse, spent some time in the service as well, but eventually got divorced.

Now living in the Indy with her Divorced, Over-protective but well meaning Aunt Barbara (Who owns a travel agency) in an apartment building Schneider's nephew manages. Annie's father retired to Florida after writing a successful series of fictional novels based on his experiences in the airline industry.

See how easy it would have been to revive the original and not do a remake....
