Who do you like better, Elvis or The Beatles?

Personally, I think Elvis is far better than The Beatles. I've always thought The Beatles were over-rated.

Elvis all the way for me. He was just so sexy, and I love his music, especially from the 60s and 70s, such as Suspicious Minds, Are You Lonesome Tonight, In the Ghetto, etc.
He had some great Christmas music too--love Blue Christmas.
It goes without saying that The Beatles were great, but I cast my vote for swivel hips.

I Wannnaaa Hold your Hand! For sure The Beatles, there music was just more... different than what Elvis would sing. They had a nice rock and pop melody.

Elvis all the way. :) Speaking of E, has anybody ever went to Graceland? God, I want to go to Graceland so badly!

Elvis for sure! I love the music of both but there's something special about Elvis! I went to Graceland for spring break after years of begging my mom, it was great-you really need to go there! I've never been a complete Elvis fan but seeing his grave was so sad. The tour was amazing-I loved his house, my mom wanted his kitchen. I think in my first home I'll have carpeted ceilings like he did. Anyways anyone who hasn't seen Graceland should go! Too bad they don't let you go upstairs but as my mom says, he's still up there. :D

The Bealtes...Elvis was great, but he didn't have quite the talent that the beatles had. Elvis was a great singer, but he just wasn't a great songwriter/musician.

Definately the Beatles. I like Elvis too but the Beatles have always been one of my favorites.:guitar:

I'm really not an Elvis fan at all. I do have to give the man his props, but let's not forget he didn't write his own material, hence, he wasn't as original as a lot of people like to think he is.

I like both, but prefer Elvis just a little more. He was the first rock & roll artist that I got to listen to.

I've seen Graceland but wasn't able to go inside. My sister & I were taking a road trip, went through Memphis, and it was near the end of our trip and neither of us had alot of money. We needed that money to get home so we couldn't afford the tour. So we just parked, walked around and read all the things that people wrote on the big wall in front of it.

In answering the thread, I like both artists but I would definitely have to go with the Beatles.

I've always thought The Beatles were over-rated.

How can a band who has been such a huge influence on so many of our other musicians be over-rated??!!

And the fact that both Paul & Ringo are still touring today after all these years, when so many other acts have come & gone, says a whole lot.

No question here, the Beatles ruled. Best Rock & Roll Band ever!!! They wrote all their music with the exception of a few songs, where Elvis depended on song writers for most of his music. I really like Elvis too though. :drummer:  :guitar:

A toss-up. Elvis was arguably the greatest solo artist of all time, and The
Beatles were indisputably the best band of all time.

I like Elvis, but I love The Beatles. I think Elvis definitely was definitely the beginning of a change in music's sound and image, but I think The Beatles took it a step further. To be honest, I love all of The Beatles music, and I only like some of Elvis'.

that basically sums it up for me.

I love Elvis, but I'm also a Beatles lover. There are things you can and can't compare between them so... yeah.
