I've read in the advertisement that I got from Disney Movie Club that Disney is planning to do a remake of Mary Poppins in 2018 and I would like to know if anyone has heard about it. With the recent rerelease of Mary Poppins of DVD I didn't even know that Disney was planning to remake Mary Poppins. I have been a fan of Mary Poppins and I think if it's done right the Mary Poppins remake will be wonderful

It would be cool to see a modern remake of the movie.

It's being done more like a sequel, as the children from the original (the characters) are now adults and have children of their own. Emily Blunt is playing Poppins.

Dick Van Dyke is returning, but now he will be playing the son of his own character from the original.
