According to Entertainment Weekly, NBC is developing a show called "The Rerun Show" where actors will re-enact classic scenes from television shows. FOL and Different Strokes were given as examples. No details yet on airdates.

Neat, huh? :)

Personally, I think it's kinda dumb...it can't be as good as the oringinal...they should know they're in "Over their Heads."(no pun intended)I don't think I'll watch it...I don't wanna see someone else play Mrs. G....maybe that's my problem...

I heard that they are doing the shows in tongue and cheek style.

They're not trying to "redo" it -- nothing will ever compare to any of the shows they're parodying. What I read was that they're going to take the scripts and kind of 'update' it to today and parody the shows -- maybe kind of like SNL or Mad TV only less insulting. lol. I dont know if I'm making any sense here.
They're not trying to exactly recreate the characters or sets, just putting a different spin on it. I think it'll be really interesting and funny.

Just to clarify....

This is what it said:

"Actors (will) reenact classic scenes from sitcoms like The Facts of Life and Different Strokes while incorporating the stars' real-life problems (like Todd Bridges' run-ins with the law) for added laughs."

There you go. :)

(And I hate to say it, but they'll probably make fun of the girls' weight. :( )

I don't know, it would be better if they could get the real actress to do it I think they could even get Nancy to do it ( she said she would would do SNL) that would be better I don't want to see other people playing the charecters and making fun of them (just MO)
