I don't think they believed in vacations. It was against their religion.

They spent a whole lot of their money on that overpriced painting of Claire's.
14 grand, thirty years ago, I think.
They must have been loaded.

He has some special needs. I was moderating and editing his posts for clarity in recent years. He was kind flooding the board with topics, so I attempted to spread them out a little bit since 50-100 new threads per day was a little too much.
He has good topics. He's obviously a fan of the sitcoms he posts about.

Ahh, ok. I assumed that was the problem but I never saw him mention it.

Why would he mention it? I would think it would be fairly obvious. We have a number of special needs members on here. They try their best. They shouldn't be ridiculed if their spelling and grammar isn't perfect.

Why would he mention it?
To stand up for himself, for one. Many other posters called him mental, a nutcase, bizarre, weirdo, mental hospital guy, etc. I would have thought that he would have said something along the lines of “I’m sorry, but I’m have this or that.” But then again, maybe he felt as if he didn’t need to explain himself, or maybe he didn’t want to. I know I feel sorry for criticizing some of his posts.

Back to the topic of this thread, now that it's mentioned I'm surprised there weren't any episodes where they take a vacation.
I'm imagining and episode where the family goes to the beach. Cliff spends the first half of the episode trying to get the family out of the house so they can get to the beach early and get a good parking spot. Vanessa wants to make sure she looks perfect for any boys who may walk by, Denise comes walking down wearing street clothes much to Cliff's chagrin, and Theo is carrying everything from a boombox to a volleyball set to which Cliff would say something like "Theo, you don't need to bring your whole room with you son. We haven't kicked you out of the house yet."
After Cliff finally gets everyone into the car, little Rudy comes running back into the house because she forgot to use the bathroom. Like I said, I can picture the whole first act of an episode like that!
