I watched this one on the Decades "binge" of the show on Decades...is it just me or did the story remind you of something Barney would do on "TAGS"?

They recycled scripts from TAGS--they even had one with an old horse, Gomer saving Carter from a gas leak...I'm sure there were others.

I just saw last night on TAGS the pilot episode where Gomer enlists in the Marines. I had never seen this one before. Sargent Carter is hilarious.

Well, maybe because he really was a sergeant. From Wikipedia:

"Sutton enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific, taking part in 14 assault landings. Sutton was a sergeant who served from 1943 to 1946 in the 293rd Joint Assault Signal Company. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart."

I happened to see Frank Sutton in the 50's series the Goldbergs playing a college student who with a pal hang out in the Goldbergs house after committing a crime. I have seen Frank also in a black and white Gunsmoke where he encounters Miss Kitty on the range.

Interesting details on Frank Sutton.

I saw a really young frank Sutton on a Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode a while ago, not sure of the details this morning, though.

I know he was in a Twilight Zone episode. Not sure if he ever appeared in Hitchcock Presents.
