The "Laverne and Shirly" reunion is on tonight and I will be watching. Who would have ever guessed that three of the 70's biggest sitcom stars would end up top directors? Laverne, Richie and Meathead. Richie is the first to win a best director Oscar but I bet Meathead and Laverne may catch up with him soon.
Who's the hottest gal currently on the tube? My vote is for the babe from "Dark Angel." I haven't watched a single episode, who has time, but dig the ads with her. The "Alias" chick isn't bad either. Of course, I would dump my gal in a minute if the stunning Drew Barrymore would give me a call. How could you not have a crush on her? Ditto for Katie Holmes.

That is just about one for Ripley's - three sitcom stars becoming extremely succesful directors. Hasn't Henry Winkler had some success at directing also? Drew does have an engaging smile, to say the least.

Henry "The Fonz" Winkler has directed several features. One was "Memories of Me" starring Billy Crystal and "Cop and a Half" starring Burt Reynolds. He also produced Selma and Patty's favorite show, "MacGyver" and it was recently announced that he is taking over producing duties for "Hollywood Squares." I have a friend who is going to the college he graduated from and I visited the campus last fall and a giant window display serves as a tribute to Henry. I saw scripts from MacGyer, a production note from Cop and a Half and a bunch of other stuff. No leather jacket though. I suspect Henry donated it all. Henry's directorial success has been moderate compared to Richie, Laverne's and Meatheads.
