Laverne & Shirley was a spinoff of the show Happy Days that ran for eight seasons from 1976 to 1983. The show was incredibly popular, even more popular than its parent show. I don't know. There may have been. I have seen other articles about shows on this site that are full of errors.

The 7:14 mark of this video proves #1 of that article to be false.

that and the show was NEVER titled "Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney" - obviously way too long and cumbersome for a title - i'd like to know where they even got that false info from, makes it seem like their main source was Wikipedia.

I think a few first season episodes did say Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney. I saw a picture of that title somewhere. Some episodes also ran under the title Laverne and Shirley and Company in syndication.

The first season (15 episodes) titles did say "Laverne Defazio and Shirley Feeney", but the show was always referred to as "Laverne & Shirley" by ABC on air, and in television listings.

There were two retrospective specials in between the series ending and "Sam and Cat", not to mention joint interviews for the television academy organization (they put on the Emmys) that are online. Penny and Cindy resolved their differences long before Sam and Cat.
