On my Dave Mason record "Alone together" there is NO SONG called "Alone together"

And on my Little river band record "Diamantina Cocktail" there is no title song either!

Its interesting..... MOST ALBUMS DO CONTAIN A SONG WITH THE TITLE OF THE ALBUM!!

Feel free to list others :)

I have several albums in my record collection where the album title doesn't have a song with the same name/title track. For example:

Bachman Turner Overdrive- Head On
City Boy- Book Early
AC/DC- Powerage
Teaze- One Night Stands
Head East- A Different Kind Of Crazy
No Dice- Two Faced

I could list more but I'll stop now, I just wanted to mention a few.

none of weezer's albums of a title track. 4 technically don't even have a title - just a color.

Roxette's Charm School. Although I've read that Per Gessle of Roxette wrote and recorded a demo of the song Charm School in the end it didn't make it on the album but they used that for the album title anyways.

Three Billy Joel albums that I can think of:

Turnstiles
The Nylon Curtain
Glass Houses

Another couple albums from Roxette:

Have A Nice Day.
Look Sharp! But the words "look sharp" are in the lyrics of Dressed For Success which is a song from that album.

Every Second Counts from The Plain White T's.

Metallica's Kill 'Em All has no title track (incidentally the original title for the album was going to be Metal Up Your Ass! but Jonny Zazula was afraid no one would distribute it)

Veruca Salt's American Thighs does not have a title tack - it is taken from a song lyric in one of their songs, which is a reference to an AC/DC lyric

I could come up with a lot if I went through the discography of every artist I'm a fan of, but I'm not going to do that. I'll just go with Martina McBride, my all-time favorite. She only has three albums in her catalog with a title track.

These do not:

The Way That I Am (Comes from a song lyric)
Evolution
Emotion
Martina
Timeless
Waking Up Laughing (Comes from a song lyric)
Shine (The word "shine" is mentioned in multiple songs on this album)
Eleven
Everlasting

Must an album have a title track?

"Tales From Topographic Oceans" by Yes comes to mind as for a title-track-less album.

And lest we forget, "Pink Bubbles Go Ape" by Helloween.

And "Piece Of Mind" by Iron Maiden (even though the track 'Still Life' contains that album title in the lyric: "Nightmares will give me peace of mind". Yes, the title is a play on words.

REO Speedwagon's You Can Tune A Piano, But You Can't Tuna Fish.

I suppose they were trying to be funny with that one. I like it but then I like bad puns LOL.

Blondie's Panic Of Girls. I don't even understand that one, as it seems like panic is being used as a noun or some kind of group description. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Led Zeppelin's fourth album didn't have a title track.

And neither did Metallica's 1991 album.

Oranges And Lemons (XTC).

Lady In Waiting (The Outlaws). The Outlaws were a 70s southern rock/country style band. One of the members of The Outlaws, Henry Paul, would go on to form and have several hits with the country-rock trio BlackHawk in the 1990s.
