Today Mom got very lucky when she got a new fridge for our kitchen and when she got it she told me that it was made by Hotpoint and I would like to know if you remember having Hotpoint appliances in your home's kitchen? Hotpoint was a big maker of appliances in the 50's and the 60's and it seemed that Hotpoint was a huge sponsor of many 50's sitcoms and every show during the 50's had Hotpoint commercials and advertisements

My mom has a Hotpoint Stove/Range from 1950. It still works and is the only one she has ever had. They sure don't make them like that anymore.
We have a Hotpoint that is only 20 years old. I have had to replace all of the burners and the connector's blocks. Also have had to replace the broiler unit and now the light switch shorted and started smoking (had to disconnect it)
Yep, they sure don't make them like they used too, but they are easier to work on and get replacement parts.

Ozzie and Harriet used to do Hotpoint commercials on their show. Also, some of you might not know this but Mary Tyler Moore played the Hotpoint Pixie in other commercials!

I have a Hotpoint oven in my apartment. My apartment was made in the 60's. Which says something right there.

Mary's character was called Happy Hotpoint!
We had a Hotpoint stove and refrigerator when I was growing up. I think my parents bought it at Montgomery Ward in the early 1960s.
