I had to move back to Detroit (which is where I'm from) for a couple years of schooling back in the 80's. I missed living in da UP a lot. I would get home from work/school and immediately turn on GA. My first wife hated the show with a passion. She grew up on a dairy/potato farm. I needed that show to alleviate my home sickness. Nowadays, I DVR them all and when life isn't going as I would like I watch the shows and they make me happy. It is a great show and I can sing the theme song.
