View Full Version : LAFF schedule
Did something recently happen to LAFF's schedule? Because I was very surprised to see Night Court airing in the afternoon time slot when I just checked the TV schedule on my television. Usually, the show airs later, not earlier. And it seems like that Roseanne took some slots where the show was before.
Were any shows moved or pulled? I'm confused here.
Svenfan1234 06-06-2017, 06:44 PM I have no idea what happened. Empty Nest is now on from 8am-12pm; Drew Carey from 12-4; Night Court from 4-8 and Roseanne from 8-mid.

Me neither. I wish I knew what's going on though.
Svenfan1234 06-06-2017, 06:58 PM Me neither. I wish I knew what's going on though.
Me too. Laff hasn't added new shows lately besides Grounded for Life and and Roseanne and that was a while ago. Maybe more will be coming in the fall.
stevea 06-06-2017, 06:59 PM I see it all in the TV Guide. Could it be a summer schedule?

Maybe that could be so.

That would be nice to get some different shows for once.

Supposedly they were going to add 3rd Rock and That 70s Show awhile back. They still might, I guess.

3rd Rock would be great.
BigManMike 06-06-2017, 10:05 PM I noticed it just started this week. Basically they are now doing shows in big blocks like lots of cable networks do.
I noticed it just started this week. Basically they are now doing shows in big blocks like lots of cable networks do.
I wonder why that is.
mets82 06-07-2017, 12:40 PM I hope it's not the beginning of the end.
I hope it's not the beginning of the end.
Of what?
Svenfan1234 06-07-2017, 04:58 PM Of what?
I think he means of LAFF. The beginning of the end for Laff.
mets82 06-07-2017, 09:40 PM Yes, I meant the end of LAFF. I mean don't these marathons feel of Logo, TVLand and every other channel out there?
storrs19 06-08-2017, 03:50 AM Four hours of a 1/2 hour sitcom is just way too much for me. I'd also like to see Laff add some different shows.

Night Court, I don't blame you. Prefer to just watch two episodes instead.
Shame if it truly is the end of the channel.
I really don't like the idea of the shows on LAFF getting moved around right now. Not a great choice at all for Night Court to be on during the day instead of the nighttime like it should be hence "Night" Court.
Wonder what the weekend schedule looks like at the moment.
MikeLutton 06-10-2017, 08:08 PM same as the weekdays
same as the weekdays
I thought LAFF showed movies on weekends.
Unbelievable. Laff is still continuing to air NIGHT COURT even on weekends. Where are their movies? Don't they usually air on the weekends?
Why? Why do you have to go and change your schedule so you can mess everything up? Just why?
BigManMike 06-11-2017, 06:52 PM They only show Empty Nest on weekday mornings. I watch some of it if I'm not going somewhere. It's about the only thing I've watched on there lately. They need more variety. They haven't had any good Disney movies lately. Mostly ones I've never heard of.

Makes me wonder if it's the summer schedule or not.
Finally! LAFF is showing movies again!
But it appears that some shows got pulled and I am not happy. Why did the network have to obviously go around and move shows? The schedule just looks so messed up right now because of all the changes.
Even the Night Court video is misleading because it says WEEKNIGHTS at 7/6 Central. It should be 4/3 Central.
Look at how horrible the schedule looks.

mets82 06-17-2017, 05:26 PM I hope this isn't the end of LAFF. I don't like the marathon schedule. Reminds me too much of TVLand and all the rest.
MikeLutton 06-17-2017, 08:44 PM laff got lot night court on there even 12:to 1:00am need more shows variety then so much of same shows on every day.
Is LAFF skipping a Season 9 episode of Night Court later on in the week this time or something? Just checked the schedule and they are showing Season 9 Episode 2 twice. Where is Season 9 Episode 1?
laff got lot night court on there even 12:to 1:00am need more shows variety then so much of same shows on every day.
Night Court needs to not be on so early in the morning.
Is there a way to contact LAFF? Because I would like to ask them about all of this.
BigManMike 06-20-2017, 05:28 PM Night Court should only be on at night. It's called Night Court not Afternoon Court.

tlc38tlc38 06-22-2017, 10:36 AM I wish I could get this channel. I'd love to be able to see "The Drew Carey Show" again.
I already own "Roseanne", "Night Court", "Grace Under Fire", "Ellen", & "Empty Nest" ("EN" is a homemade set) on DVD but I would really like to see "TDCS".
icecream 06-25-2017, 05:20 PM I went on vacation in Illinois and was pleasantly surprised to find out they have LAFF, was able to see 14 episodes of Night Court last week.
icecream 06-25-2017, 05:25 PM Night Court should only be on at night. It's called Night Court not Afternoon Court. So what? Night Court is good any time of the day. I've seen several complaints about Night Court in this thread but Roseanne and The Drew Carey Show also have 5 hours a day. Plus Roseanne airs on several other stations, while Night Court is exclusive to LAFF.
icecream 06-25-2017, 05:28 PM Is LAFF skipping a Season 9 episode of Night Court later on in the week this time or something? Just checked the schedule and they are showing Season 9 Episode 2 twice. Where is Season 9 Episode 1?That was a listings error, episode 1 aired into episode 2.
That was a listings error, episode 1 aired into episode 2.
So LAFF showed Part 1 like normal then?
icecream 06-30-2017, 10:43 PM Yes.
Yes.
Oh good! I thought that part 2 was just shown twice or something.
Crusinforabrusin 07-03-2017, 12:37 PM Laff isn't bad at all. Sure , The marathons can get old fast , but the shows are great. Night Court , The Drew Carey Show ,Empty Nest , all good.
I am , however , disappointed they got rid of Ellen , Spin City , Caroline In The City , Grace Under Fire , and The Bernie Mac Show. All great shows.
I would love to see Laff aquire Malcolm In The Middle

Grace Under Fire still airs early every morning at 3 Eastern. Ellen airs Saturday mornings and Spin City airs early Sunday and Monday mornings. I didn't know they ever had Caroline in the City, and Bernie Mac airs on sister channel Bounce, not Laff.
Bernie Mac did air on LAFF though.
Crusinforabrusin 07-03-2017, 05:24 PM I didn't notice. Spin City and Ellen use to air often , I guess they reduced their showings
There's another listings error for Night Court again.
Oh boy. LAFF finally updated their schedule. And the site.
http://www.laff.com/
Seriously. I have had enough of LAFF's mishandling of "A Guy Named Phantom".
Just why are there two Part 2's of the episode?
I finally found LAFF's contact info.
http://www.laff.com/contact/
I just found out now that the show called That 70s Show is coming to LAFF next month.
Wonder what show will be getting the boot...
Svenfan1234 08-17-2017, 08:37 PM Empty Nest should move to the primetime slot occupied by Night Court or Roseanne. Too good a show to just be on in the morning.

I apologize, but Night Court has to go. Even though I do like the show.

I agree. It's really the only show I watched on Laff. But now that I'm working again, I can't watch it in the mornings since I'm at work, so evenings would be great for it. I also wish Laff would get WKRP, Too Close for Comfort, or Charles in Charge.

I can see WKRP, Too Close for Comfort, and/or Charles in Charge going to MeTV actually more than Laff. Laff seems to like the risque shows more it seems. Empty Nest is awesome though. 8AM-12PM just isn't good enough but 4-8PM would be.
Svenfan1234 08-17-2017, 10:02 PM I apologize, but Night Court has to go. Even though I do like the show.
I'd prefer Empty Nest to go there.
icecream 08-17-2017, 11:38 PM Roseanne is the show that needs to go. It has aired constantly on several networks. Night Court has not aired much. But since I don't have LAFF I wouldn't mind if they lost the rights and it went to a network I have.

In Night Court's time slot you mean?

I guess you're right. Before LAFF even came along in the first place, Night Court hasn't aired a lot at all.

Last I remember it airing before Laff was on TV Land around 2005/2006.

Yeah.
So that's how long it's been then.
Yeah.
 to Sven back.
Laff loves to screw around with a certain episode of Night Court. Again, they showed Season 9 Episode 2 twice on the schedule including the same two plot summaries.
Svenfan1234 09-13-2017, 08:35 PM The Laff schedule really lacks variety, just the same old Empty Nest, Drew Carey, Night Court, & Roseanne blocks that are like 4-6 hours each. I like "Empty Nest" & "Night Court", but 2 episodes of each has to be good enough.

Night Court needs to move back to 2 showings AT NIGHT, not a block during the day.
Svenfan1234 09-13-2017, 09:11 PM :yeahthat
BigManMike 09-13-2017, 09:49 PM Check zap2it. There will be a schedule change on September 25 after a marathon of That 70s Show the day before. Empty Nest will be on at the same time but they are moving some shows around. Night Court will now be on only from 12 noon to 4 eastern time. That's just dumb. It won't even be on any at night. It's called NIGHT Court, not Lunch Court. Makes no sense why they would show it then.

I wish Empty Nest would come to primetime like, from 4-8pm.

For real? What shows are getting pulled then?

Night Court just needs to go in general. Replace it with 3rd Rock From The Sun. When's the last time 3rd Rock even aired?
mets82 09-14-2017, 01:27 PM I'm not down on Night Court not being at night. I do wish they would add more shows. And I agree, I wish 3rd Rock would be on again.
I know 3rd Rock aired on TVLand in 2009, I think and on REELZ in 2011, I think.

Why?
According to Wikipedia, 3rd Rock From The Sun is coming to LAFF in January of 2018.
cnnbcbs 09-16-2017, 11:10 AM The daily 5-hours of Night Court was great, I was able to record the whole series onto DVR (and later DVD+R) in about 2 and 1/2 weeks. Then during the next cycle I was able to pick up the episodes where reception dropped during the first cycle.
I will probably do the same thing with 3rd Rock, time-slots permitting. Hopefully Laugh will pick up Perfect Strangers from WBTV someday.

I could use Dan, The Walking Time Bomb and Not My Type you know. The reason why I'm asking is because I don't want to deal with Laff's commercials.
Dan The Walking Time Bomb recently got pulled from Dailymotion, so that's the main reason why I am asking.
Sorry for offtopic, did you read my message board?
What are you talking about?

It's just, I send mets82 private message to him on sitcomsonline board since few days ago and he hasn't responded to me. I'm not 100% certain if he gets any notifications or any alerts about private message alert.. So that's why I posted this to get his attention

Oh okay.
I had a dream recently where Night Court got reduced to two airings again and other shows got put in the show's old timeslot.
Is something up with the LAFF schedule right now?
Svenfan1234 09-24-2017, 07:03 PM Is something up with the LAFF schedule right now?
Why?
Why?
Because I think it may have changed again.
mets82 09-24-2017, 07:28 PM I think they did change it with That 70s Show coming. They mentioned that it was going to be on 7 days a week at 7pm I think.

Then what's going to happen with the other shows?
Looks like Night Court got moved again to the early afternoon now with The Drew Carey Show taking its place in the old time slot of the show.
Wonder if it’s still airing in the early morning.
Svenfan1234 09-29-2017, 10:11 PM I just wish Empty Nest would move to night. The only show I watched/watch Laff for.
Looks like Night Court isn't on in the early morning anymore either.

What time is Empty Nest on now?
Laff got some new movies recently it looks like.
Schedule:
Tomorrow: Jungle 2 Jungle
Monday: Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Tuesday: Bottle Rocket
Wednesday: Manhattan Murder Mystery
Thursday: Bad News Bears
Friday: The Mighty Ducks
Night Court needs to move back to NIGHT again. That's all I'm saying.
Afternoons are not a great decision for the show at all.

LAFF really needs to get more variety. Where is 3rd Rock From The Sun?
Svenfan1234 11-02-2017, 07:06 AM Apparently 3rd Rock comes in January. Wiki isn't always reliable, but that's what it says for this one and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what ends up happening. LAFF really does need more variety, however.
mets82 11-02-2017, 11:15 PM They need to get rid of there block scheduling. It's too much and you burn a show too quick. At least, the shows air uncut and without the credit crunch.
cnnbcbs 11-04-2017, 02:02 AM Personally, I like the block scheduling. I was able to dvr to disc all of Night Court in about a month. I recently DVR'd all of That 70's Show since I thought i'd check it out.

Can I have some episodes please?
Once again, the LAFF schedule got moved, which means Night Court is now on late afternoon again and Empty Nest is now on early in the afternoon.
Which means that The Drew Carey Show is after NC.
Soooo, where’s Grounded For Life? Is that not on the schedule anymore?
icecream 01-13-2018, 10:49 PM Soooo, where’s Grounded For Life? Is that not on the schedule anymore?Grounded for Life has not been on the schedule since I got LAFF a few months ago, maybe it expired. The sitcoms currently on the schedule are Roseanne, That 70s Show, The Drew Carey Show, Night Court, Empty Nest, Grace Under Fire, Ellen, Spin City, and Cybill. The rest of the schedule is movies and E/I shows.
