"Sister, Sister" fans hoping for a revival of the hit 90’s TV show may be in for a surprise — Tia Mowry says they’re currently working on making it happen.
In an interview with Nylon Magazine, Mowry said that she’s trying to make the series happen sooner than later, but the process is proving a lot more challenging than she expected.
“We’re looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show,” the 38-year-old told Nylon.
“I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be. Everything in my career has always been a challenge. It’s not dead in any kind of way. We’re moving forward, we’re taking those strides. They’re slow strides, but we’re pushing as hard as we can to make people happy and make our fans happy.”

Not so fast, "Sister, Sister" fans.
Although series star Jackée Harry recently said in no uncertain terms that a revival of the popular ’90s sitcom about twins separated at birth is happening, her cast mate Tamera Mowry-Housley told EW on Saturday that nothing is certain yet.
“The thing is, nothing new is happening,” Mowry-Housley cautioned at EW’s SAG Awards party. “I think maybe Jackeé was really excited or something, but we’re still in the process. But nothing is confirmed yet.”
As for where the long-gestating project stands, she said, “We have a writer … we’re just trying to find a home for the show. But we have everything else, and everyone is signed on, so that’s what we’re waiting on. So one more step.”
Mowry-Housley added that her sister and costar Tia Mowry-Hardrict “is pregnant right now, and the writer is doing a play in New York, so things are kind of on hold, but we are continuing those meetings in a couple months.”
Asked if a revival could materialize sometime in 2019, Mowry-Housley said, “Oh my gosh, yes.”

Earlier this year, That Grape Drink (http://thatgrapejuice.net/entertainment/marques-houston-sliced-sister-sister-reboot/), proposed a theory. They wrote that networks are afraid to work with Marques Houston, who played the role of Roger in “Sister, Sister”, because of allegations of rape and molestation. The network is afraid that promotional interviews for the show would become a free-for-all with everyone focusing on the allegations instead of the reboot.
For those of you who may be lost right now, Raz B (real name De’Mario Thornton), formerly of the group B2K, alleged that both Chris Stokes and Houston raped and molested him when he was part of the group (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzjH5DSQnPw). (NOTE: Don’t click on this link if you’re sensitive to these types of sexual violence. The details are graphic.) There was also another artist, singer Quindon, who made similar claims.
Houston and Stokes have always denied the allegations with Houston going so far as to take out a restraining order against Raz B in 2013.
TMZ reported that Houston claimed Raz B’s video”caused me emotional distress and caused me to fear he will be violent toward himself and others.” Houston claims that Raz also spoken many times about killing people as well as killing himself. Houston also claims in the docs that Raz has threatened him specifically on the Internet several times and this has made him “fear that my life, my girlfriend’s life and the lives of my family and friends are in danger.”
Raz B would eventually testify against Houston in court. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5S3krBdewSg)
